every person who doesn't like an acquired taste always seems to think everyone who likes it is faking it. it should be an official fallacy.

Because it shows the ignorance of these guys. Now please, we can argue about the validity of religion and Christianity but that's not the point of my post here.
These guys condemning bell don't even know what people they outright steal sermons from believe.
C.S. Lewis, who is basically the well of apologetic that a lot of ministers draw from, while not a strict Universalist believed in Purgatory (which by and large is unheard of in most protestant circles) AND believed in some form of Universalism as he addresses the topic head on in The Last Battle, when Emeth, ever faithful to Tash (who is actually an evil demigod of some sort) because of his upbringing, enters in to see Tash, sees only a Calormen footsoldier.
He later meets Aslan and they have this exchange: "I take to me the services which thou hast done to Tash. For I and he are of such different kinds that no service which is vile can be done to me, and none which is not vile can be done to him."
―Aslan, talking to Emeth
In other words, Emeth was a good man and lived a good Life and his devotion to "Good" saved him.
If this isn't a form of Universalism I don't fucking know what is.
And the reason I bring this up is, again, Lewis is like, one of the most praised apologist in Protestant Christianity, and they'd never try to call him out. Ever.
when i am fighting dudes in dragon age do i need to keep mashing X to attack or do i hit it once and that is enough
Hit it once should be enough, though your meele guy will occaisionally maddeningly start moving to the side for some god damn dumb reason. Also there should be a little black part of the red circle when you have an enemy selected thats the "backstab" area of an enemy and gets you bigger hits.
Preacher on
I would like some money because these are artisanal nuggets of wisdom philistine.

Yeah try to, some enemies have cone attacks and you don't want to be in front of them even as a plate wearer (I'm assuming you have alistair tanking). Its not as important for a meele warrior, but it can help save your healers/do more damage.

Hypocrites.
What struck me is this guy is the target of a huge online frenzy, but the people involved haven't even read his whole book yet? I mean the quote from that one guy in the article basically said, "Hey I haven't read his book yet and I don't have all of the facts, but this guy is wrong."
Also, "biblical Christianity" is all over the board depending on who you talk to.

the equal love mod was nice, but it was still ultimately disappointing because the dialogue was clearly meant for a woman, and so it seemed like a hollow victory.

im not interested in romance we are straight up bros
HoW is that woman from an importing company going to come in here with her faint freckles, beguiling accent, subtle perfume, and this unspeakably sexy scar on her cheek and then NOT realize that we were obviously meant to be married right this second.
