Still not done with this, got to throw more bounced light and darken the terminator some. Also throw in some occlusion and render a butt load of crystals.
Jesus. Are these classes you're taking at Watts, still?
Seriously if I end up moving out to that area I am going to jump right into that. Seeing your already daunting skill improve that much more has been fascinating. Also motivating. Also a little scary.
I need to get off my butts! Great work all-around though, that lighting assignment looks like a heck of a lot of fun.

No, these are classes taught at Schoolism.
The thing that Rolo highlighted is actually quite simple to do once you learn the concept!
Doing some 3 point environments ( I have to do them designed after another game like I'm doing a sequel of a game, so I'm picking Zelda and Final Fantasy and calling it the " Legend of Fantasy") + want to redo my ellipse assignment actually correcting drawing ellispes with the cone of vision in 1 and 2 point perspective.
Thanks so much guys!! Here's some monsters since I know perspective can be a little dry to look at. Working on some film studies to try and break it up and work on my coloring/composition weaknesses some.

Some plant people I'm thinking about further developing.

I feel like there is just the slightest bit of design flaw with the ladydragonbug
like you blended the bug and dragon anatomy pretty well but the shell is just a bug shell
and considering it's a big part of the design
maybe you oughta put spikes on it or something
or maybe this is just preferential
Oh hey that's a pretty cool idea! And the shell with spikes could act like a battering ram/spiked shield if need be. I was just obsessing about keeping the iconic lady bug spots, but I'm sure if I keep the spikes rounded and black I could get away with it as long as I sparse them out. The body is already noisy enough, but I'll try and cut that down too. But thanks so much Tam! I'll try a sketch or two tonight.
Eyecager on
Way cooler name, thanks guys!

Looking through this stuff makes me wish I'd been able to stick around at Watts (went for one term, before money troubles sent me back east).
I wanted to ask you what exactly "animation cleanup" means, responsibility wise?
good stuff, glad to see your work getting exposure like this!
We would have to stay on model and keep to the top down lighting.
And made sure every frame was clean and ready for the game.
Sam Nielson Assignment 1, going to get assignment 2 done over the week.

I know it's just a study, but this is some amazing lighting right here.

At the very right of the screen there's a little tassel, click on that and you'll have "bookmarked" the thread.
Thank you. I would have never spotted it without your help.
Ooooh, cool.
