Scrolls is Mojang's next game and offers a new and unique game play where you fight to outmaneuver your opponent on the battlefield using the destructive powers in your collection of magical scrolls. Tear your opponent limb from limb with the might of your summoned armies, lay waste to the defenses with the obliterating power of your siege weapons or open up the very skies and let bolts of lightning shower his minions until only ash remains. The road to victory is yours to choose. Obtain the powerful scrolls and decide which ones you will take to battle as you fight to become the mightiest Magician of all.

With writing from Jerry, this seems like something I can really get behind. No mention on pricing structure, which would be the biggest issue (buying booster packs, etc.).
Do you guys think there's still room for another virtual CCG?

my first reaction to this was bad, as i was hoping for something a little more groundbreaking

but then i realized just what a diabolical genius notch is

card battling people with this game from within minecraft would be ridiculous, especially if the games affected each other somehow

and even if this isnt notch's plan, it'll still happen with the insane mod community minecraft has

You wont have to wait long, as it appears to be a digital only game. Im interested though I love card and strategy games so this will probably be a no brainer for me.

I've never really gotten into card games, but I've only ever tried Magic. It was okay, but didn't do much for me.
