Hooray! I'm going to have around a day to a day and a half to wander around Lausanne, Switzerland in a severely jet lagged fashion.
Does anyone have any suggestions for what to see/do/eat? It turns out that I get in at around 7am and will have at least 6-ish hours to kill before I can collapse at a hotel.
Criterion:
- I don't mind walking (< 2-ish miles each way) from the train/bus/transportation if it's going to be good!
- I don't have a ton of money to spend, a bit is fine, but now that I'm a student again I'm not going to wander into some $40/admission type place unless it's really compelling
- Something that doesn't require complex directions or thinking would be ideal because I will be jet-lagged to hell
- I may have a little more time to wander around for several more nights, but after the first day my daylight hours are sadly all locked up
Also, if anyone has any recommendations for where to buy chocolate to bring back (or slather all over myself in a hedonistic orgy of cocoa) please let me know.
