Just tried jungle WW, with the wriggle's build that was posted a few pages back.
Started off bad, because my team didn't protect me at blue and the other team 5 man ganked me and took it.
By midgame, though, I outleveled their WW by 2 levels and was able chew through their whole team because of the lifesteal and tankiness.
wriggles gives 14% life steal, that is the only difference between it and mini madreds.
Also slightly better stats!
If you are a squishy ranged and end up against Xin Zhao/Pantheon/Renekton your only real answer is to switch lanes. You might be able to play it safe but you'll probably miss out on minion kills and risk painful death. I was playing Xin Zhao on a team with Ryze and the enemy solos were Miss Fortune and Teemo. Using CV we made sure that we got favourable matchups which resulted in us both killing our respective opponents.

Yeah, sure, leaving aside the higher damage and armor values, the 5% greater chance of proccing the 500 damage, and they Warding active, they're totally the same aside from the lifesteal, which is (apparently supposed to be?) negligible.
If you go for a recurve bow(for big madreds) on ww instead you end up with more life steal from his passive, more madreds procs, and more damage period from the AS. it costs a little more but it builds into an end game item.
so yeah I wouldn't say it's that important. I build wriggles on physical laners since it lets them destroy creep waves while regaining health, or junglers that don't want big madreds. ww doesn't need that since he does it already with mini madreds his passive and Q.
So has there been any cool LoL stuff at PAX? I know they mentioned gameplay with an unreleased champ (nocturne I'm guessing) but anything else besides that and some skins?
Forcing a teamfight in Maoki's Ult while our Gangplank Ults right over it and our Nasus tromps around in his Ult = win. It didn't matter that there was an enemy MF Ulting into it. We just sat there and brushed the bullets off us while we mopped up. It's so rare to get a group that understands Tree's ult. Feels so good.

I'm going to make one of those posts where I complain about my team in a solo game and compare my awesomeness to them.
Why couldn't I carry them? Why! I tried so hard. Note I didn't killsteal, as I generally had to run down their squishies solo and managed to get 1st and 2nd blood on Swain. Then he switched lanes and killed a MF two levels above him. I'm full of man rage etc. Grr!
if i had to point out an obvious flaw in your build, it'd be the lack of any magic resist whatsoever and that both sion and swain there looked to be doing a hefty bit of damage
So Hacksaw and I just had a couple bad games, then we played a bot game, and we were up 70-20 last I checked, and he was doing 1500 damage. It was hilarious.
I've also learned that the primary thing that makes this game unfun is flash. In one of those bad games, we were going to kill a Gangplank who was heading for purple side blue. One came from lower river, one was at blue and headed south at him, and I cam from upper river. Perfect three prong strike and he ignored all of us and flashed through the wall with a sliver of health. Now the entire team had flash and did that to us the whole time.

I think Hexdrinker is underrated for fighter-types, but then I rarely play fighter-types.
the problem with hexdrinker is that for only a few dollars more you can get Banshees (2715) or Force of Nature (2610).
either way, it's become just The Norm for me when i play any sort of melee tanky DPS to get one of the cheapish armor / MR items early. it makes a huge difference when you come back with 45 armor or 48 MR against your laning opponent
It's effectively just 300 extra HP which you only get once in a while, and only soaks magic damage. I.E. it's a lot worse than just buying a couple of Doran's blades or whatever.

Hahahaha that Miss Fortune is a former WoW guildie of mine, used to play with him all the time
Damn it I'm tired, lurking in here and posting in the Pokemanz thread about how shitty my router is and i post about how im gonna trade from school in this thread....

When the enemy has flash a good idea is to attempt ganks that you know won't work out to see if they'll get scared and pop flash (or another summoner spell).
It's pretty effective, actually. And then you can go for the real gank later when you know their escapes are down.
Yeah, but every now and again, Hexdrinker will save your life, and the person who almost killed you will go
"Wtf?!"
and you can just reply
"Swag"
I had a Malzahar rage at me, RAGE, while I played a Trundle with a Hexdrinker. Everytime I'd see him I'd ult him and he'd ult me. When his stun was over he was so rageful all he could do was type in angry caps "HOW ARE YOU NOT DEAD!" instead of possibly trying to get away from my monolith earth dick. He screamed all game how I was cheating. I just kept telling him to read Hexdrinker's description and what my Ult did.

In addition, I think that every time you proc with Wriggles, it counts for lifesteal as well. It's as if you hit for 600 damage. This is why it's so good on lane champs as well, it's basically a free heal and ward.
If you rush for Madreds, you will be very squishy in the mid game though you can control baron and dragon mor efficiently. For 500 gold, you can instantly start to build tanky so your mid game will be strong and you can tank late game instead of struggling to buy items.
It's just a matter of preference. If you have an easy time versus the enemy team, you might as well rush for a Madreds and destroy them.

nothing quite like seeing someone at 400-500 health and going "hmm, i am level 11 so i have level 2 laser? i am 90% sure i can kill that person"
and then doing it

One as alistair, that was fairly hilarious.
One as nunu, that was fairly boring.
You were warwick
I was galio on the other team.
