I was watching Loco (I think it was him...) earlier and he ulted someone as trist, then clicked on them to auto attack. I always assumed it was automatic though. Anyways I just did that to a vlad, auto attack, combo, auto attack while they are in the air. He went from half hp to dead and I clicked him while he was flying back from my ult still. Felt so cool to do that, adds even more damage to the combo.

Yeah, the biggest effect of the minion changes isn't push teams, it's minion-only pushes forming on their own and crushing towers. It's a combination of the +50% minion damage to towers and the generally more durable minion waves leading to big pushes forming more quickly. The upshot of this is that it's very hard to group up for objectives because teams have to constantly push out their minions, so you perpetual laning phases and everyone farming for 60 minutes.

    Yeah

It's actually really good to practice the kill combo on bots periodically, just to make sure you keep it in your muscle memory

You actually ignite while in midair, immediately explosive shot, then Buster and auto again

What ELO are you at? Because my 1100 team figured out how to take out the creep waves just fine. It is a little more difficult but it is just something your team has to pay attention to, we still grouped and fine you just have to watch the minimap more and be able to respond quickly.

Also I am going to cautiously state that I am going up in ELO, I was 1050 a week or so ago and I am now about 1200. I have been working on some small things, like getting every single last hit that I can and some decision making, pushing when I should and team fighting when I should, nothing big but I am going up.

I have never actually practiced the combo, I just jump in, e, ignite, r while auto attacking. I usually don't start with auto attack since they usually run when I get close, I try to land my jump on the edge.

Changes to IP gain were made to accommodate more game modes. Honestly I haven't noticed any large change in my overall rate of IP gain.

Then you were not paying attention.

Because as it is now, I have literally gotten less IP for winning a quick game (78) than for losing a somewhat-less quick game (79).

I don't recall ever getting less than 100 IP for winning games before.

    Summary:

-Lux laser ratio down to .75 from .85, but supposedly she's getting some kind of buff to her ability to support to compensate (speculation: maybe shield buff?)
-Sona getting new passive which requires more thought by the player--some kind of debuff to help support carry?

Honestly I would have nerfed the cooldown on rank 2 and 3 Lux laser but left the ratio alone

The problem isn't the amount of damage, it's the amount of poke you can do with it and still have it up for fights

Not really. Lux is approaching too good if not outright OP at higher skill levels, as she can easily retain Mejai's stacks, and due to Deathcap being the most OP item of all time, take like 1/3 of the tank every 24 seconds from a range in which she cannot be countered by any other ability.

Karthus can do similar, but Lux has a more complete kit which makes it more outrageous.

It means they were raging. People rage in this game. It is a thing that happens.

One time there was a tryndamere who talked shit through the entire game. When our tank built a thornmail he lost his shit about it. So we all built thornmails. Even though it was a bunch of random people we all collectively decided "Hey. Fuck this guy."

So he raged about us being premade and how we somehow cheated our way into solo queue.

Some people are just weird and they come up with weird reasons to justify their rage.

Fuck that guy. Also, I'm going on break this week, so I might be back to carry you people sometime soon.

Edit: Wasn't that the Master Yi? I might be mixing up douchebag encounters.

Were you in that game? I can't remember since it's been almost an eon since you played with us.

I thought it was the same guy who told us after game to talk to him once we had 1000 wins. I remember doing this once when we duo-queued, and the guy just got bent thinking we had cheated the system and queued as a five-man because we coordinated just slightly.

Otomi? Otomi was the Yi with 1000 wins, but I'm pretty sure he was on our team and he was a terrible feeder.

I'm at 1500, but the problem isn't losing towers to creepwaves (you can see them coming a mile away), it's the threat of losing towers to creepwaves. Due to the mechanics of the creeps, one team's wave is always pushing, and if you engage in a teamfight while their wave is starting to push you're at serious risk of losing a sidelane tower just by taking the time to fight the teamfight. This compounds with the reduced death timers and the fact that you're almost certainly sending 1-2 people back to fight off creeps after the fight to make the winner of the teamfight less important than what the minions do while the fight is happening. Getting Baron and a few kills actually isn't that great when a wave of creeps just pushed down your inhib towers and the enemy team is back up in 20 seconds to defend their base.

The logical response for good teams to this is not to engage in a fight when the enemy lanes are pushing. And because the lanes are always pushing in one direction, this means that one team or the other will always be unwilling to engage. So you get these perpetual farming games where everyone farms and plays safe because no one lets themselves get initiated on.

I would guess it's less of a problem at lower ELOs because lower-ELO teams don't know how to not get initiated on. Ward coverage and mechanics are generally worse, so people don't know where the enemies are or how to stay out of range of their CCs. It's very difficult to actually start a fight with a good team that isn't interested in fighting you. The only initiation I see consistently catching people by surprise at my ELO is Ashe arrow, and that's primarily because the global range catches people unprepared. I suspect as players get better even that will lose a lot of its effectiveness.

I've been seeing this more and more, even in Normal. (Haven't played Ranked in a week or so.) Send one guy to get a large push going in a lane, then 5-man group and push mid or take a neutral objective when they HAVE to send one guy to counter the minion push.

Ive also noticed before 30 minutes in the game, you can suicide dive a tower, kill it, respawn, and defend your towers before the enemy team can mop up the minions and push.

Yeah, I think this is a really good way to get easy dragons and buffs right now. I've had mixed success getting Baron this way, as Baron is a huge risk even 5v4. You end up fighting with horrible positioning and Baron DPSing your team, and there's a good chance you'll either get aced or have Baron stolen by the four-man group. Even if you do get the Baron, whoever's bot has probably pushed down at least one turret in the meantime.

But as a way to get free dragons and steal/gank in their jungle, yeah it's awesome.

It's pretty nice for support heroes. I don't usually see it picked often on Janna specifically but it's hardly a bad choice since she's already amazing at escaping anyways.
