Haven't gotten the game yet (huge backlog right now) but does anyone else really like the male player character's design? Its the firs one I've really liked since the 2nd generation. Very simple, but stylish.

Nevermind that, I want to know why the inventor of the pokemon storage system seems to change with every generation after G/S.
Region locking.
I think the more important question is why it's "Someone's PC" until you find the inventor. It amused me that this game went "Wondering this very question? Fuck it, it's tradition now."
Also, raising my Sigilyph now and I'm still confused by Synchronoise, what benefit is a move that can only hit two types?
Late in the game they Mention Team Rocket and Galactic but not Aqua or Magma.
I found this hilarious at first but now I'm thinking it's because this game occurs At the Same time as Ruby and Saphirre. Which Dive aside is probably more proof that We're getting remakes ( as if we needed more than the last 4)
Not sure how this makes sense. D/P/Pt takes place simultaneously with G/S/C right? And R/B/Y and R/S/E are simultaneous. How could they mention Rocket and Galactic if it is at the same time as R/S/E?
I thought about that too and decided they either said fuck it or We're getting ruby and sapphire sequels instead of remakes.

What is up with the really dark Pokédex entries in this region? Frillish/Jellicent are pretty horrifying, and then there's Black Pokédex entry for Elgyem:
"It uses its strong psychic power to squeeze its opponent's brain, causing unendurable headaches."

Yamask was once human.
That is just freaky on so many levels.
In other news, fighting Cobalion, I was really excited for the legendary music and oh my goooood, the tempo changes are so good.
EDIT: Sucess! Zebstrika with Thunder Wave and some Flame Charges + Rocky Helmet, then switch to Serperior to sponge hits, done in about 8 or so Dusk Balls.

Frillish:
Black: With its thin, veil-like arms wrapped around the body of its opponent, it sinks to the ocean floor.
White: They paralyze prey with poison, then drag them down to their lairs, five miles below the surface.
Jellicent:
Black: The fate of the ships and crew that wander into Jellicent's habitat: all sunken, all lost, all vanished.
White: They propel themselves by expelling absorbed seawater from their bodies. Their favorite food is life energy.

History has shown us that ghost-types generally are complete dicks.
I was going to say the exception to rule was Litwick because of how cute it is, but I just checked its Pokedex entries on Bulbapedia and noticed that it pretends to be a guide while siphoning life force of anyone who follows it.
Fuck you strategy guide. I buy you to have ALL THE INFORMATION I may need to look up, not a bunch of missing info and "Figure it out for yourself!" entries.

What are the Litwick line entries?
These are horrifying! Almost as awesome as the Drifblim/Drifloon entries!
Well, thanks to my love of cryptograms (even ones written backwards and without spaces in a cuneiform variation that changes ciphers every Arceus-damned floor) and nothing better to do (thanks to DST screwing me out of my daily trainer beatings yesterday) I am now a millionaire. 1.5 million pokebucks, on hand. I just hope I'm not going to regret selling that crown down the line.
I probably have more stored in the Bank of Mom in SS, but hey.

Litwick
Black: Litwick shines a light that absorbs the life energy of people and Pokémon, which becomes the fuel that it burns.
White: While shining a light and pretending to be a guide, it leeches off the life force of any who follow it.
Lampent
Black: This ominous Pokémon is feared. Through cities it wanders, searching for the spirits of the fallen.
White: It arrives near the moment of death and steals spirit from the body.
Chandelure
Black: It absorbs a spirit, which it then burns. By waving the flames on its arms, it puts its foes into a hypnotic trance.
White: Being consumed in Chandelure's flame burns up the spirit, leaving the body behind.

Addendum for EV training from a couple of pages back:
I hope for your sake you didn't catch your Victini.
It's worth 3HP EVs, and if you make it faint, just leave the room and come back in and it's respawned.

There's a guy in Undella Town (only accessible post-E4) that buys the stuff you find in the Abyssal Ruins (you need to use the Dive HM that a girl in that town gives you) for crazy amounts of money. The crown was worth $300K, plus multiple Statues ($200K), Bands ($100K), Vases ($50K), and lesser items.
Also, all but two of Arceus's plates, but those can't be sold to him.
While you're there you can also beat on his family member(s) once a day for $12000ish each.
All of it is just vendor trash as far as I can tell, like Nuggets and Stardust. None of them had the "held item" symbol next to them IIRC.
I'm probably going to spend it on vitamins. I already picked up a bunch (at half price thanks to the wife and I trying out Entralink) before I plumbed the upper floors of the Ruins.

Whats the level range I should be at for the E4 first time through?
My lowest is 43, and my highest is 51, with most of them actually sitting at 47-48. I stepped in there to test the water. First fight was alright, second fight I lost all 6 pokes to 1 douche-poke.

It was once human, is incredibly sad about its fate, and is now subject to being beaten, tamed, captured by strangers to fight animals.
I think I would join Team Plasma just on the fact that we are using the souls of our dead for our cockfight enjoyment.
