Just bought Minecraft, cant get it to work - help!

Ive just bought minecraft and when I try to open the program I get an error after clicking 'login' saying:
'Failed to Launch
Fatal Error occured: C:\Users\Oliver\AppData\Roaming\.minecraft\bin\version (The system cannot find the path specified)
What can I do? Ive tried redownloading a few times.
I get the same error when I try launching it in browser.
I tried redownloading java too and ive got windows 7.
Can anyone help me please?
