So, last I heard, BioWare is looking to include some kind of incredibly awesome item (hereby known as DA PRIIIIIIZE) in the ME3 Collector's Edition. Any thoughts on what that might be?
Gears of War had the Lancer for GoW2, so I'm not sure they'll go with a full-size weapon, cool though that would be. Reach had a statue, Halo 3 had a MJOLNIR Mk.VI helmet, MW2 had the NVGs and Black Ops had the RCXD.
My initial guess is an N7 helmet/shoulder plate, but something tells me that's a little unlikely, as it seems like it'd be bulky as hell and really expensive (Reach statue notwithstanding). More likely, a model of the Normandy or a one of/a full set of medals (like the achievement/trophies). Maybe just one, but make it really nice? I'm kinda partial to the Long Service medal (either version) although Paragon/Renegade would make a nice two set and also really fit one of the major themes of the series.
They could probably make a life-size pistol/hand cannon and get away with it, though. Bonus points if it collapses like it does in the game, lights up, makes noise, etc.
Things I hope we don't get:
-A jar with some strange liquid and four vaguely ovoid objects inside.
-A real-life issue of Fornax.
-Anatomically-correct Tali action figure with removable bio-suit. (blame the Talimancers)
-Anything Batarian
-Learning to Dance with Commander Shepard
Thoughts?
I hope it's nothing I actually want, because I want a digital download.
I hate hate hate the idea of DLC, so when Mass Effect 2 was released, I finished it and said "no matter what comes out, fuck it, I beat the game, screw anything that's released afterwards"
However! Waay to much DLC has come out, some of it apparently good and important to the story and its difficult for me to keep ignoring it.
So, Lair of the Shadow Broker and Arrival
Do I need a "mid game save" to play these? Aka, do I need to hop back to a save before the point of no return to send shepard and company to these locations?
Can an end game save be used with them?
Or are they separate expansion campaigns that do not rely on any previous save games?

I've got a feeling the super-secret priiiiiize will be something in the vein of Halo 3's helmet, or Reach's team statue.
I suppose it could also be a Normandy model, or maybe a big Commander Shepard action figure that can throw right-hooks, and has a button that when pressed says his most famous lines! "I'm tired of your disingenuous assertions." "Depends on the species, Turian." "Drink it! Or I'll blind you one eye at a time."
I can see a Normandy modal if you get a deluxe version. I never buy those, and I'm hoping they have a release night item they hand on. I know Halo 3 had dog tags and Reach had caps with the game logo on them as well as posters. It may sound cheap or lame, but picking up dog tags for Master Chief's last run was nifty.
I'd love me some N7 dog tags.
Edit: Oh, and a game I can spend as much time on as Halo w/o multiplayer? Master Chief is getting beat.

I want what I've done with ME1 & 2. 360 Collector's Edition at launch and PC download later when it's a bit cheaper. Especially since my PC (laptop) can only barely run ME2 playably, and I don't expect ME3's minimum specs to be the same or lower.
Super-deluxe N7 (or whatever) edition? Reserving judgement but I'll probably try and get it...
Rock and a hard place. I want desperately to get whatever shit they include with the collector's edition, and I love the idea of giving Bioware more money, but I still want this on Steam.
If the swag includes a model Normandy, it might convince me to buy a physical copy. Alternatively, I will accept a functioning omni-tool.
so i just downloaded me2 for the pc, got from the owning da2 offer thing, i was led to believe that it was just me2 without any bonus content, yet the social site is letting me download pretty much everything, the whole cerberus network stuff, crash site, hammerhead, zaeed, the blood dragon suit, even the collectors edition stuff and the doctor pepper items.. should this be happening? is this because i have all the content for the 360 version?
the only thing its not giving me is katsumi, shadow broker, overlord, arrival and the appearance packs..

My Shepard in ME1 had some serious duckface going on. I don't think I rotated sideways to get the profile view. I did not change her for ME2. I thought it added some charm
Alright, so I went to buy some Bioware points to pick up DLC with. $20 worth. I go to confirm the transaction and - far too quickly - the website refreshes and tells me "This order has already been submitted" or something like that. My balance of Bioware points is still 0 but my debit card now has a $1 charge pending from EA.
WTF?
Edit: So apparently that $1's some kind of old-school-style pre-authorization charge. Someone on the Bioware forum got this reply: "You have not been extra charged for this order. Therefore, if you still see any charge on your account statement, it is the pre-authorization charge, not an actual charge. Pre-authorizations are typically held for a few days when using a credit card. Please allow 5-6 business days to waive this charge from your account."
I wonder if their servers are just getting slammed from the free game offer and everyone trying to buy points. Maybe I'll give it another day or two. Sucks, I wanted to go and pick up Kasumi at the Citadel. (I was going to grab another $5 of points after the $20 since I can't do both on one transaction and pick up Kasumi, Shadow Broker, the horse armor packs because I'm a goddamn whore, and sweet Firepower/Aegis armaments.)
The Bioware store website is - for lack of a better description - fucking terrible. I can't even check my point balance. The only reason I have Lair of the Shadow Broker is because I went through the chat tech support, ended up buying $10 in points through EA's store and still couldn't get to the DLC in the BW store. I have never seen a company so dedicated to not taking people's money.
But the chat support people are alright in my experience. If you talk with them they might be able to sort out the problem.
He's referring to Joker's O-face, an expression I'll mirror if they release a decent Normandy model for CE.
Thank you.
Joker looks like he's having a very nice time. The fact that I managed to catch him with his eyes closed, smiling, and with a very close FemShep staring directly into the camera apparently biting her lip just makes me think something untoward might be going on. :winky:
Still, at least that's one bone he won't break so easily.

Might have to do that, cheers. I can check my balance (still 0) by going to Profile > Add Bioware Points.

Yes, I get an "It appears you have more than one accounts for this currency. Remove one and try again." I have no idea what that error means, and it is only one of many variants when I visit their "store."

They had a good thing going with the da:o store integrated into the game, I don't know why they would move away from that model.
In other news, just finished the first mission in the original ME. Liking everything so far except for combat. (I'm not into fps, even if I can pause by holding spacebar). And I keep changing weapons with the mousewheel trying desperately to zoom out.
