not seeing any info on this problem on the interwebs, so was wondering if any of you folks had seen anything like this before.

went to bed last night, TV was fine. woke up this morning, picture looked like this.

Got a speaker that's too close to it?

Have you had any power surges/brown outs recently?

no speakers at all. just use the TV's speakers and occasionally some wireless headphones.

I guess you could try unplugging the tv for a few minutes and see if that helps, but you're probably going to have to make use of the warranty (if you still have one.)

I know this is a long shot, but is the tv new enough to return to the store? If it is, I'd go that route in a heart beat over playing phone tag with manufacturer.

Yeah, if it's out of warranty, contact a TV repair place. Tell them (or show them like here) what's going on, and see what it'll cost to repair.
