The fear theme and the hammer theme are kind of hard to reconcile. They feel like two different events.

Fred Van Lente let it slip that he is doing some sort of tie-in, involving the new Power Man and Amadeus Cho.

I would say it's Herc, but they have said that Herc has nothing to do with Cho forever.

It's likely a mini focusing on those two characters. They've both got the Power theme, after all.

I skipped over the bit where he explicitly said it's a new tie-in mini.

    Could it be a new

    Power Pack

Hey. The Power Pack tie-in mini for Secret Invasion was fantastic.

Don't ruin it with your FVL nonsense.

It technically wasn't a tie-in, it was the little all-ages mini that just happened to have Skrulls in it

    It was hilarious though

I like FVL a lot, but if he did this I would be angry with him. The only way Power Pack should exist in the Marvel universe is with the Power siblings and possibly Franklin Richards.

When he dies, I hope they write "Worst Affirmative Action Hire, EVER" on his grave. His corpse should be trolled.

I don't get that. They haven't shown up, Marvel has repeatedly said they have no plans for them in the main MU, and Alex Power is one of the main cast of FF.

The name ain't gonna be used anytime soon.

Honestly: Alex Power, Power Man, Amadeus Cho: Prince of Power and Molly Hayes(who wanted to be Princess Powerful).

    Awesome team.

They have a TV series in the works possibly and Marvel has said they are working on them.

Still, the series has lost so much momentum that I probably won't care when it does come back.

If BKV could co-write a new run, though, I'll give it another look.

Yep, because Marvel still haven't got a clue when it comes to attracting younger kids to comics. But I digress.

Yeah, the entire Manga and Anime market was essentially a bubble that popped three or four years ago once everyone got broadband access and the US distributors all stop giving a shit about quality control and flooded the market with every piece of garbage they could get their hands on, drowning out anything decent.

In 2008 and 2009, most places slashed their stocks, and many of the distributors either went under entirely or reorganized and lost many of their licenses in the process.

That is very similar to what Marvel and DC have done, it's so sad.

All of my experience comes from working with Barnes and Noble (and being a parent) and travel book publishers, but I can guarantee that the kids these days are a lot more likely to get into manga books than they are with anything from Marvel and DC. Manga sales might be down, but so are mainstream American comics. All I was getting at with this whole thing is that the audience for American comic books these days is adults, and the kids are buying more manga. It's why all-ages super-hero comics don't stay afloat.
