Well having a teleporter in the spawn where it can't be attacked (which has been fixed on several maps, so its obviously not intended) is a good idea, so having a teleporter kind of in spawn is kind of a good idea, right? No, but I think thats the thought process.
Struggling to figure out what the goddamn point of the brass knuckles is.
I guess maybe you want the melee experience of a scout as a heavy?
The only possibility that comes to mind is that Valve still sucks at percentages and meant to say double speed. Which still sucks because fast melee weapons are worse than slow ones.
What the fuck demo set? No red text at all. Also loving the sniper rifle.

BTW, the sniper rifle has -20 charge before any headshots are earned, so it's not flatly better. I should put that on the sniper rifle's description. Don't know why I forgot it.
Oh my fucking god all those Demo items are amazing. The shield is weird but I guess it's for close quarters charging, that's about 80~ damage on a hit. Maybe it still allows you to crit swing since it has less resistance? I'm assuming the shoes replace the pipe launcher.
At this point I assume the unprecedented ambitious update they were talking about is just that all the classes will get a pack at once. That's sort of cool I guess but they're all community contributions...

More about the bonuses for the rifle:
It's simpler than that. It starts at -20. Every headshot adds +10 to a max of +30 (which is pretty damn fast). A bodyshot is -10. A miss resets you back to -20.
Basically, there was nowhere to go with the original Demoman set, so they just gave him a melee subclass that they continually elaborate on in lieu of providing worthwhile explosive weapons.
How do you get more worthwhile out of him? Artillery?

That minigun from day one looks like such a bad idea. "Hey, let's take the most brainlessly powerful 12v12 class in the game and remove his one drawback. It's cool though, because we'll reduce his DPS to 400 instead of 500."
I'll definitely try out the new demoknight set, though it's hard to get excited about the update dropping when I know it will be months before I actually find the items I want.

There are rumors that the new sniper rifle has ironsights. That would sort them out.
I wonder if you will still get ammo if your health is full or from dispensers. But most of all I hope there is an easy way of crafting that sniper hat.

Melee weapons are the awful in these sorts of games.
Maybe even worse than snipers.
At least snipers are supposed to kill me from range.
I like how people are calling for end-times with the medieval mode when they've already limited what weapons you can use in it. Just because they are new weapons doesn't mean they will default to work with medieval mode.
Kind of disappointed with the demo set. I mean, I love my demoknight as much as anyone, but I want more explodey stuff too. Also disappointed with the sniper, mostly because I fucking love the look but I won't be able to do shit with something that actually requires headshots.
Don't really get the people gushing over the minigun. A good heavy always has his gun spun up before it's needed anyway, the new one will only help when he's surprised by a pyro or scout.

Obviously you shouldn't catch them on fire until you're close enough to account for your weapon switch time. With the Degreaser there's no way they can avoid an axtinguish if you catch them by surprise.
