My Goddamn iPod Nano is Frozen

Seriously. I just got this thing yesterday. I've listened to it maybe for a total of 3 hours, and I've put less than half of its maximum, 4 gig capacity on it. It's battery is full.

And now it seems to be intractibly frozen, stuck on a screen with no way out, and I'm faced with the flaw in Apple's aesthetic of simplicity, as there is no way to get into the system to try and fix it, or even flip a switch to turn it off.

Is this a lost cause?

Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds.

    Thank you internets!

That is fairly unintuitive, and it does peeve me somewhat, but now I see that it was in the manual in the first place, so really, there is no one to blame by myself.

Still, would an "Off" switch have been that bad?

You can also hold the Play/Pause button to force it to turn off.

That didn't work. The Menu/Center did, though.

Salty tears recharge the iPod battery electrolytes.

I hear the battery is actually the tortured soul of an orphan.

Well, kind of. They didn't use the whole thing.

I believe the rest is sent to fast food joints. Ever wondered why Taco Bell is so cheap?

This is kind of funny, since the only iPod I've had that has never frozen or broken on me is my 4g Nano.
