I sent some PMs.. sorry Smitenheimer, this is a server that Ein and others have worked hard to make expressly for the PA forums, and you just don't have the accountability in the community yet.

I was wondering this a while ago and never tested it so here goes again. I am well aware that boosters are not needed on the server. What happens if, for example, you wanted a one way rail system. Would building boosters that face backwards stop the motion of a cart like they do without the cart mod or would that just be a useless waste of tracks?
Like instead of having a booster go in either direction, you have two going in one direction. Entirely pointless to someone going forward but possibly stopping anyone coming the other way. Just a thought.

Can minecarts cause each other to decelerate? Placing a booster backwards, wouldn't that just make the traveling minecart pass by a stationary minecart?

I requested the IP a while ago but nothing really came of it, I guess I may be better off cutting my teeth on the SE server and trying again later.
Though checking the SE++ thread they're pretty stacked as well.

Was on DC's server earlier and no one was around, if you want a PVE server to have some fun it's an awesome place.

Wakka, don't let them get you down. Earth is a little over-the-top in their playstyle.
I'm not in Earth but I definitely don't understand this bizarre mindset of not making weapons and armor first, given the PvP nature of the server.
Weapons are smart to make, but given how quickly you can go through armor without even getting into a fight, it's a marginally better use for the resources you spend on it than if you sat down at a table and ate the armor for dinner. People get antsy about a mineable resource in a finite world.
Well, I'm chilling in the Nexus, but I guess I have to wait around for an admin or mod (or whatever they are called again :P) to appear and be able to bestow me with a nation!
Which basically translates to I'll idle for now :P

Violating the treaty will never result in a ban. Ein has expressed in Vent that he doesn't give a shit about treaties.

He changed the entire rules of the game to what essentially the treaty was to accomplish.
Now you can be banned and now you are prevented from many of the major treaty issues.

First, who is our treasurer? Second, just to be on the safe side, do I HAVE to give valuable materials to him or can I put them in the chests myself? Shouldn't make any difference.

The fact of the matter is that resource rarity is an issue. One of the big things we did the other day was to all write up our constitutions so that players could read them before signing up for our nation.
I have no sympathy for people who signed up for earth after this, and don't understand the flak they get when they go around dying in full iron suits of armor.

There is proof. It's called the Nation Rules thread.
Some excerpts:
Water - "All rare/valuable resources will be collected and stored (just tell us you have it or leave it at the tree)"
Fire - "Don't waste wood ever. Do not use iron without asking."
Air - "Personal stores should be limited when working in the nation, resources are communal"
Earth - "We urge all members do turn valuable resources over to the designated people for stashing"
TL;DR - Our rule is "Please don't waste Iron". Air is more lax, but the other nations are "Don't use Iron ever"
