Nocturne's ult is ridiculous if you're the least bit squishy. Standing at your tower at about half health then suddenly "DARKNESSSSSS" and then you're dead.
I wonder if Nocturne hits mushrooms on the way with his ulti.
He does not, he clips through terrain/creeps/other champs while heading to his target.

Sona's new power chords are neat
)Extra power chord damage from her Q is actually frightful at low levels, she can easily pick up a few lane kills/assists with a good partner (jarvan for example). Tower diving at level 3 with flash, Q, power chord for 240 damage is hilarious
)20% reduced damage output from her E power chord? Ehhh I'm just worried about actually getting that close to their DPS to use this. It can be used to take the sting out of AoE teamfight abilities. Some good uses have been:
-As panth stuns someone and is just about to start HSS, I am certain this saved a life more than once
-As some bursty caster begins a combo they have to move in for such as leblanc
-As fiddle ults into our group
It's more useful than it sounds largely because this is proc'd by your heal which makes their efforts seem even less effective
)Celerity slow. Largely a novelty unless you're really lacking for slows or stuns. But the fact that you can use it approx every 3-4 seconds is nice if they are a good runner or have speedy boots or can slow your team too
actual content: I really hate Nocturne and have decided that I'm going to dedicate this week to learning how to counter-jungle with Eve so I can make his life a living hell. Someone teach me the ways of being a tremendous dick to everyone
So I'm watching Loco's stream since he's using Noc and he uses him pretty well so far but...does he always look like he should be wearing a helmet? Loco does not look..well adjusted.

just looking at the numbers her Q on power chord was barely a buff over the old one
Q, power chord is a difference of like 20 damage at 3 and 100 damage at 18 (with a better ap ratio)
It's not radical, but at the very least you have to adjust your pattern of key smashing if you want this new 4th effect taking place regularly that cannot be CDR'd into constant existence. If your heals are taking care of their damage and you don't need to chase, you have some 200 extra damage every 3-4 seconds

honestly i spent more time worrying about CV placement than whatever was on my screen, any argument past that about interest in specifically playing Sona is just bargaining
There is enough outside of your one champ's build/abilities that taking on the team leader role of keeping tabs on the enemies is a nice change of pace
Oh, my favorite moment as Nocturne was Ulting from mid lane to bot lane on a Kat that was around 2/3rds health and by the time I got there she was at 1/4 health and I got the kill. I felt bad for the KS, because it was not intended, but I didn't expect it to take so long to travel there. I also don't know how you have to hover over the skill to see the range, because the second you hit "R" the darkness comes and you have 4 seconds to get your target. Difficult to know if you are, or will be, in range.
All in all, I don't know if I mentioned this earlier, but he is a lot of fun. The only "assassin" I've played is Yi, and I've still not even gotten the concept of when to go in. I mainly play tanks/tanky DPS. I also play some casters, like Anivia and Heimer or ranged like Ashe and Sivir. But having a squishy that needs to be next to someone is unfamiliar to me.
I also realize that having a good team is critical to my success. If my team sucks, then there is very little chance I will do well. This was evident in the two games I played. First game my team was pretty bad and the other team was pretty good. Second game my team was mediocre. Two of them sucked, the other two were good. The other team was just not doing a good job of sticking together, so we were able to pick them off one by one mostly.

Anyone have tips vs Akali as Ryze? Her smoke bomb keeps me from getting good combos off, while her repeated dashes keep her in range whenever she wants to actually engage after I cage.
Well really the problem was Karma+Akali jesus christ, but it still wasn't good.

akali is a bit of a ho bag for ryze early on (6-12)
you can beat her 1v1 if she picks a bad first item and lets you damage trade
but if it's akali + healer probably not a huge amount you can do because you can't keep her low enough
although before 6 you can troll her
also 125g wards are de bomb because you can drop them when she puddles and get lots of free damage

I was originally going to take a solo, but Sion is a pain in the ass 8+ once he starts leveling his stun and Pantheon is urgh, so we swapped over to the duo lane.
Pre 6 we trolled them all day. Post 6 we were often trading my death for Akali's death or sometimes both Akali and Karma. So, so annoying.
