eyes on the road, ears on the radio, don't fall asleep!
my family and i regularly take road trips as vacations, where we drive for 10-16 hours a day for days on end. sometimes weeks, as in the trip out to vancouver from windsor.
road trips are awesome. though more awesome when you can nap.
10 hours aint shit my ass
i did the drive up to seattle and back twice
never
want
to
do
it
again
it really isn't.
well you are a shiny paragon of drivitude
i on the other hand prefer the stylish comfort of a plane
all the legroom of a port o potty with none of the smell
I have very fond memories of my family driving between Spain and Sweden when I was a kid and being in a car is way less claustrophobic than a plane so I think I prefer being in a car for sure.
I mean, I am not really claustrophobic but something about knowing I'd be in the air with no way to not be in the air for all those hours on the way to Australia almost freaked me out a little

When I lived in Colorado, I did a solo roadtrip from Denver to Los Angeles, stayed a couple of days, drove from LA to Seattle, went to PAX, and then drove back to Denver.
Now that's a fucking roadtrip. LA and Seattle stops aside, I never even spent the night anywhere. Just drove.
fuck that i can outmodest you any day of the week (except Sunday, the Lord's Day)

After moving here (California) I lost my driving chops because everything is so far away I just fly.
When I visit my parents I like to drive from their place to Atlanta (4 hours) and it feels so much tougher than it did just a few years ago when I did that 4x a year in college.
Like, I used to just be able to hop in the car and go, no stops. Now I have to take breaks and drink sodas constantly. It's annoying.
Flying sucks when most flights are basically a flying city bus.
I love driving long distance as the driver but passenger is the worst. My max has been 18 hours. Also Hydroxycut is a great thing to take once you get sleepy!

That sounds good, but it is a little difficult to do it. I have similar experience.

maybe a book?

In the middle of the motorway. That was fun. Luckily there were no serious accidents.

This is not a pleasurable experience
(17 hours or so of driving)
it really isn't.
Twitch (I stream most days of the week)
Twitter (mean leftist discourse)
couldn't switch with him cause he couldn't drive stick, I sang for him the whole way
Steam

I've had better days
Other than the whole "can go as far in 3 hours of flying as you can in 3 days of driving" thing
yeah uh i'd rather experience 3 hours of discomfort than 12 hours of discomfort
but sooo worth it

or both in one trip

Like a boss.
And also more modest

But they took it away when I wore it
the obvious thing to do was to politely decline and defer the medal to second runner up
gotta learn to play the game, son
the modesty game
this is patently untrue
on a plane you can get up and walk around
you get meals delivered right to your seat
you have a selection of movies and television you can watch
you have awesome views
you can get drunk
it's entirely socially acceptable to take a whole bunch of drugs and pass out
Need some stuff designed or printed? I can help with that.
