Generally you just treat it as a mistakenly revealed card, so it still counts as in your hand, and you save the link so you can link it whenever you want to play it...
Edit: I just realized that I played the wrong card. I'm foolishly playing two simultaneous Tzeentchs, and this Changer of the Ways was in my hand in the other game. I also have it in this one though, which was why I got confused.
