1:26am: Hacker attempts to access protected files concerning Space Station Citadel.
1:33am: Tri-Optimum security forces apprehend the intruder.
Are node effects preset, or variable? Are there random effects?
If two players enter the same node at the same time, will they experience the same effect? What about on different days?
While detailed game info to come may clear much up, I'll answer some clarifications. Just keep in mind that you don't need to ask about everything before they're posted because a lot will be answered. :P Ask afterwards as much as needed though!
Effects would be variable, and while some things may be generated they will function in a non-random fashion.
All movement is simultaneous and effects will not function on a first-come first-served basis anyways. If you are in a node with an effect then you will be affected by it unless you have means to avoid it.
Curse my bad luck! Perhaps this latest fortune cookie was right. "You're almost there". I guess I didn't realize that "there" meant the lonely space off the grid.
Thanks for the answers Infidel. I'll hold off on my other clarification questions, I'm just trying to anticipate how the village organization I set up to try and explore the grid is going to laughably fail.

Actually, if you move some of those letters around, change a few and add one, you'll notice it spells Infidel. I think he's the one trying to steal your identity. It's also rumored that he is Norman Bates. "MrBlarney" might be another one of Infidel's personas.
