I've got a weird random stupid thought. What if Jade's quest bed is her normal bed? It may not matter since her dream-self is dead, but since it got kinda resurrected by the Prototyping, eh...Just a random thought.

If I want to get a friend to read the comic, I tell them to read that page first to get an idea of the writing.
That is always a problem I've had, I've tried to get my friends to read it, and it's a bit hard to start them on it. The first chapter is rather diffrent in tone, and it does take HS a little while to grow the beard.

Hussie already explained it. Aradia became a ghost because mumble mumble able to commune with the dead, and didn't become her dreamself because evidently that ability only unlocks when you enter the game. since she was already dead when the game started, her god tier rules were different. Her comatose dreamself was laid in a coffin at the core of derse on her quest bed, and when it was murdered it immediately transformed into god tier. Her ghostspriterobot body was destroyed because her soul was transferred into her new god form.
So was kanaya. It's more that Aradia is special, I think. Also Andrew said that to transfer consciousness to a dreamself upon dying, it needs either to already be awake, or to be awakened very shortly after death (see: sollux). Aradia's dreamself was definitely asleep until Jack came.
yeah, i can't help but to hear some japanese-ness there too, but im worried it might be because i associate vocaloids with japanese vocals, haha
and nope, the pdf unfortunately doesn't mention anything about the vocals

Have you seen how much fanservice-style stuff is in that show? The moment I saw the show existed I knew Ginax was behind it.
I'm a little surprised Hussy did not make any observations on expanding the medium he is using in the latest batch of fourmspring answers, especially in response to questions about the short flash/gifs. Yeah sure it's not really a huge shift from what we are used to and is simply a combination of already used mediums for storytelling in this format, but it does open up a lot of options that could warrant another spiel from Hussie on storytelling mediums. Not to mention the merging of different formats seems to be a major artistic motif of the comic.
