It's accurate, because the website is talking about all the Red/Blue/Green/Yellow stuff. Gen1 only.
Talking about how the anime is exactly one year old today, having debuted on April 1st, 1997 should be a big hint, as should 'Dragon Rage is the only Dragon move, truth!' thing.
What's the deal with inheriting Dream World abilities? I've heard that you're supposed to be unable to pass egg moves, but Bulbapedia seems to say otherwise.
"From Generation V, female Pokémon with Hidden Abilities have a 40% chance of passing on the Hidden Ability to their offspring. Ditto count as male for this purpose."
Wouldn't that mean that I could breed until I got a female with the Dream World ability, then breed it with a male to have a chance at a baby with both the egg moves and the ability? My DD Feraligatr build needs this!

I've never played or really looked at Pokemon before. For some reason Black / White looks oddly interesting. I have no interest in the cartoon or even really in the graphics of the game, but it looks like there might be an interesting game powering it all.

I haven't played a Pokemon since Red and Blue, and this is definitely the game to start, or get back into it.
They cut out a lot of the rape and the difficulty is more reasonable.

Weird. The Deerling I caught and showed to the Weather Institute guy was still autumn-form when I showed it today and when I put it back in its box in between.

I think that the Deerling has to be in your party when the season change occurs for it to be effected. I checked the ones in my PC box and they haven't changed to Winter, where as the one in my party has.

If it's still a Herdier, then it's probably fine. Just teach it Retaliate and use it to sweep enemies that just took out another member of your team.
The time will come when you need to get rid of Stoutland, and that will be tragic.

The female has to HAVE the Hidden Ability to be able to "pass it on".
Also, to those who are saying that the Pikablu wasn't Gen I... well, it kinda was, because those rumors were flying around when we were still in Gen I and Gen II was either out in Japan already or on its way. We were still playing Gen I when the Marrill pics started circulating, and I remember several people telling me you could get one in RBY.

Oh, cool. Thanks for clearing that up. I thought maybe there was some part of the breeding system the universe was keeping secret from me.
It's frustrating as hell, yeah. You'd think that with all the restrictions they can put in place to not be able to trade certain pokemon, and not use certain pokemon in various modes, that there'd be some internal checksum or something that would disallow retarded trades like someone asking for a LVL 1 Arceus.
It almost makes me wanna load up my R4 cart and just hack out some obviously bullshit mons. Here's your LVL 5 Reshiram. It's Shiny. And has every Gen 4 ribbon. He was found in Pallet Town. And is Named HackDouche.
If someone creates a miracle foolproof medicine that is a cure for the common cold, cancer and loneliness but it has the minor side effects of explosive diarrhea, uncontrollable bleeding from the eyes and murder-fugues, that's not a total 'resounding' success.

Xenogears, I am done with the 'mon you let me borrow. Thanks a TON! I was able to get 4 legendaries I otherwise wouldn't have been able to get. Just give me a time and I can trade it back.
And thread, I am 7 pokemon from completing my Gen IV dex. seven. I will have a complete gen IV dex soon! Stupid swarms, marsh, trophy garden stuff has me at its whim, though. Safari zone stuff in SS is even worse. No way to cheat the time and I need to wait like 30 days with no counter to tell me how many days the game has counted the zone being up for me. great system, gamefreak.

Apparently it needs to be in your party when you start the game and the season appears on the screen. Presumably it also would have changed if it was in my party prior to 8am today; I started at about 7:58 and it was still Autumn, then changed to Winter at 8 when I left a building.
Oh wow, a Volcarona survived a +1 Outrage from a max attack adamant Haxorus. I call hax! Not even Gigalith survives a +1 Outrage and that thing is sturdy.
So I've got most of the BP items now and leveled my guys to lvl. 50, except Haxorus who learns Outrage at 56. If you guys did the same, we can do an Open Battle or something sometime this weekend. Or Flat Battle. I guess. Call me if you want to get bumslapped by yours truly.

Anyone have a Hoppip for me? It's supposed to be in White Forest, but all I can find are Rhyhorns. It's the Safari Game all over again!
Apparently the amount of different Pokemon in White Forest is based on the number of grass patches and surfing areas and mine are really sparse at the moment. I have no clue what affects it. It wasn't this bad the first time I set place. Yeah, yeah, Entralink, whatever that is. It still doesn't make sense why Pokemon abandon the place. It's like a ghost town.
If you don't go talk to the people in your forest every day, they will start to leave. You have to go visit someone's black city to recruit more people.
Seriously, they're mental if they think I'm going to locally connect to another DS with the other version of the game just so I can catch a few pokemon. I was wrong to compare White Forest to the Safari Zone. It's ten times worse than the Safari Zone.
