If someone creates a miracle foolproof medicine that is a cure for the common cold, cancer and loneliness but it has the minor side effects of explosive diarrhea, uncontrollable bleeding from the eyes and murder-fugues, that's not a total 'resounding' success.

The Black City/White Forest thing is a terrible idea. You shouldn't have to talk to people every day - there will doubtless be periods where I don't talk to anyone at all, because I'm not playing the game! Eventually, no one is going to have anyone living in their City/Forest!
Also, I'll feel like a dick stealing someone else's peoples from their cart.
Finally got ahold of pokemon white today. I haven't played since red and I'm feeling soooooo lost, but it's fun to stumble through learning all the new mons (oh boy is there alot of them to me). Anyone running a pokemon charity? I don't think I have anything worth training and I'm not looking for anything specific, just any cool/interesting pokemon. Are there any rules about trading pokemon from the previous games?
Pass me an FC and I'll hook you up with some stuff. Also, I'd recommend avoiding older stuff for the first stretch of your playthrough, look for the cool new stuff.

Took me a minute to find that, I bought the game off amazon with no manual.... everything is an adventure!
HMs are the only thing keeping this from being a perfect Pokemon game in my opinion. They might as well tell you your party size is 4 deep instead of six, since your last two slots are always gonna be filled with HM slaves, at least as long as you're in story or capture mode.
They should just allow any pokemon who has the ability to perform an HM ability to just do it once the associated badge has been acquired. Sort of like how Ash was able to (eventually) fly on his Charizard, even though he didn't ever specifically train it to fly.
Its frustrating, because I'd like to carry my full team with me everywhere I go. But nooooo. I have to hold a couple slave pokemon who are basically incompetents except on the rare occasion when I find a bush that needs to be chopped down or a rock moved.
You don't need to carry HM slaves in B/W. Seriously, you need Cut ONCE to progress, strength ONCE to progress. That's it for the main story I think, everything else is optional/post E4.

There is one specific cut tree that blocks progress and it is forty minutes into the game.
Basically all other HMs are used for OPTIONAL paths. Don't want to ruin one of your precious pokemons moves with Strength, despite it being a perfectly fine attack for most of the game? DON'T. YOU CAN COME BACK LATER.
Maybe its just OCD, but if I have the ability to chop down a tree and explore, I will do it.
It bugs me to see a bush and not uncover what's behind it. Sure, there might only be one "story tree" that needs to be cut down, but that doesn't mean I don't want to know what's behind every other bush along the way.
And if you wait until the post-game to do all the exploring, about 99% of the treasures you find are negligible or obsolete at that point in the game.
...Putting Cut on one Pokemon does not make them worthless. Most pokemon struggle to have four good moves without breeding or in Gen V's case, end game TMs.
Even then you're talking two moves that aren't super competitive. There are literally zero places to use Dive and I think one place to use Waterfall before the E4. Fly is insanely useful and not too bad in game. Surf is pound for pound the best special water move. Strength is actually very decent for the time you get it and does pretty decent damage on a stab pokemon.

I can give you the two starters you didn't pick (Please tell me you picked Tepig I have an entire box filled with nothing but Oshawatts and Snivys.)
Battle test, south west of the battle subway building. Autolevels to 50, doesn't requrie you to save before starting. Can still only use one of a species at a time though.
Still, using the performance/IV checker at the battle subway can eliminate poor specimens without need exact IVs.

Alright, time to set up shop, I have a few different Pokemon lying around ready to trade.
I have:
4 Adamant Digletts (2 Sand Veil, 2 Arena Trap)
2 Chimchars (although they only have Leer since they hatched with 3 HM moves for some reason)
7 Squirtles
3 Charmanders
And I'm looking for:
Other starters like Bulbasaur, Tepig, Oshawott, etc
White exclusives
Plenty of different Pokemon I don't have yet

Hey there,
Happy to trade a freshly born female Tepig for a Squirtle!
Do you need a Snivy too?

Checked it out of curiosity and sure enough: it appears to have better IVs.
EV training HP is okay, but man def training blows.

I can't even find route 18 on my map!

I guess hatched, I don't know what it takes to hatch them. Now I'm feeling even farther out of the loop but appreciate the help heh
3 throwaways should do it. All you have to do to hatch them is walk.
Tell me about it. A real list would take even more time. :P
Also, one of those three you're going to have to be patient with: He starts off slow, but develops into a complete monster.
I'll take good care of "Egg!" Thanks for your patience and help

This was after my Tyrannitar was not very effective Blaze Kick'd to death while Stone Edge missed SIX TIMES IN A ROW.

HP: 31
Att: 31
Def: 28
SpA: 21
SpD: 25
Speed: 10, 12
This is the stray hatchling I found after:
HP: 31
Att: 26 - 27
Def: 31
SpA: 18 - 19
SpD: 28 - 29
Speed: 4 - 5
Second one does seem to be better...
It also apparently caught pokerus, and left the infectious stage, while still an egg.
