So here's an odd question:
About 10 months back I had LASIK surgery to correct my vision, full works, everything went great, did all the post-op stuff etc. and my vision's all fine. Sometime this summer, I'm heading off on holiday (and obviously will be protecting my eyes with sunglasses) to the Ukraine... during which I'm getting a tour of Pripyat and Chernobyl.
There's the standard disclaimer of "don't go if you have a medical condition which will be exacerbated by exposure to low levels of ionising radiation". I don't have any other medical conditions, but I have no clue at all if LASIK surgery is going to mean I should avoid Chernobyl.
I'm assuming that the risk would be no different from getting an x-ray or CT scan or whatever, none of which seem to be advised against after LASIK but could use a second opinion.
There's probably nothing to worry about, especially a year after surgery, right?
TL;DR: Can I visit a radioactive ghost town if I've had LASIK surgery?

I will post again later if my eyes fall out.
