How many months in can we revive the "Days not Weeks" thread title? I suggest a format of

Libya: "Days not Weeks" (XX Weeks XX Days)

Its big-font front page news on BBC, which is disgusting. The US has dropped god knows how many thousands of these things in Iraq. Israel used them in Lebanon. Terrible weapons? Absolutely. But this is hardly worth an extra moral outrage at Gaddafi, since the noble liberators use the same weapons.

A good question would be; who manufactured these weapons and sold them to Libya in the first place?

Anyone know what the exact issue with US weapons not fitting British/French planes is? (I'm assuming its the actual mounting brackets not matching up, but I don't have any actual source)

We like to pretend that we're not/deny that we're still using them, though.

There's a great documentary around at the moment that deals with the despicable way western media deals with war; it's called "The War You Don't See". Some difficult questions are asked of the way BBC reports on conflicts and its very apparent pro western bias.

Obama said it was days not weeks before the United States handed over military operations to NATO and took a backseat role.

He fulfilled enough of that that it would be a little disingenous to rag on him.
