I know that I have about 8400hp and I sometimes feel like I need more, espcially vs locks. It might be because I'm feral.but I feel to truly dominate in pvp a druid needs about 9k hp with maintaining good stats. I'm at 2100 atk power and 32 percent crit and I do pretty well but if I just had a little more hp I'd be very hard to take down. only issue though is you pretty much are going to have a hard time getting that hp without pvping. Well that's my 2 cents.
I am the ultimate backseat tank. Especially when you try to swipe aggro away (literally) from Thrall in Durnholde and get your furry shit pushed in by 4 elites while Thrall is all "olol ferll dr00d" and takes no damage.
So I've been fiddling around with a druid lately. Currently level 14, feeling the Balance tree something fierce.
But I've been told Feral is best for leveling. So should I load up on str/agi/stam gear instead of the int/spi I've been opting for and just around clawing things instead of spamming wrath and moonfire?
Keep in mind I'm a total Druid noob, and whatever is easier would be best. I'm only leveling a druid to help my guild out by *hopefully* adding another healer for endgame. Tree ftw I guess.

I didn't level balance from 1-60, I leveled feral. And damn is it easy and fun. I don't know about balance without +damage gear. I have to assume it is fairly mediocre that way.
If you're just looking for fast leveling, feral all the way. Zero downtime, nice dps, and great survivability.
I'm thinking of becoming dedicated to Balance once I hit 70. I'm rather enjoying the speed of Feral leveling compared to my Paladin, so I don't want to jump the gun.

The blue Wyrmhide PvP will be MINE, however.
So I never really figured out how pvp works now. Anyone want to elaborate?
You can do battlegrounds and it's cumulative now right? No loss of honor or whatever? Is that where you get Wyrmhide?
And then Arena you have to maintain a certain percentage of win to get your gear. Do you accrue points there too or is it like the old honor system?
You didn't "tank" shit. You got damn near run over and I dropped like 4k worth of mana on your ass in 10 seconds to heal you. If you were tanking them, you wouldn't have needed my triage, bitch!
Not sure where the Wyrmhide comes from but you have the Honor system correct.
The Arena generates points based on your winning percentage and quality of wins. Not sure if the points go away but I don't think they do. These are separate from honor though. The top teams go into a tournament and are able to get the netherdrake mounts.

Isn't that definition of tanking combined with the definition of healing the tank?

Yes, if aggro is held. I have a sword still stuck in my ass that says otherwise, Captain Commando.
Yeah those 4 adds raped the hell out of me on that first try. Holy shit was it cool though when I'd tab to my other target and see it at like 60% life already since your DoTs were just ticking away.

In all the Durnholde runs I've been in, we never let him tank, except maybe the first mob he charges. He sucks and gets beat down quite easily if you let him.

I put him up as my focus target and give him a rejuv / lifebloom and he's fine. He hits like a mac truck, and he's going to break CC, so you might as well let him have it. Here's the thing, sancho - after the last mob is dead, if thrall is at 2% health, he heals to full instantly, for no mana on my part. As long as he doesn't die, he's the perfect tank and an asset that should be used to stay efficient. Is he necessary? No, but he can certainly help.
Also I snagged my lifebloom idol last night. It's fun, but I don't notice a huge difference in my heals with it though. However I did get Blessing of Kings for the first time last night and it put my Spirit up to 570. My goal is to break 700 when I'm at 70. +175 to healing effects to anyone in my party at that point. Hoo-rah.
We let thrall tank a few. Like was said, he heals himself to full. And it's probably a product of our guild. One thing we do extremely well is DPS. Any fights that require straight up blow the doors off DPS we destroy. Healing though.... lol let's just say that most of the healers we have now are sub 13 and not quite "with it."
I tried to let thrall run in and attack one, then just pull the other 3 and dps them down. By the time we were done, Thrall had nearly butchered his. The issue was trying to pull the 3 without pulling the 1 off thrall. I probably should have used lacerate instead of swipe.
The problem (at least from my experience) with letting Thrall tank is that he doesn't put out that much multi-mob aggro. I've had healers end up peeling off the 3 mobs he's not attacking and so we pretty much used Thrall as damaging CC (not needing to bother healing him either) while I tanked the rest. If he has a cleave or something and you just have to wait longer before engaging I think I'll try that next time.
When I meant "let Thrall tank" my meaning is that give him one target to work on, and have a healer HOT him and throw him a light heal here and there. The MT should be gathering up everyone else and doing his thing on non-CC'd mobs. Thrall will usually kill whatever you give him eventually - usually you'll burn everything else down and find him with a 5% mob at his hands. He's essentially his own form of CC.
Do they share a cooldown with mana and health? Do they work? Or am I going to be stuck with a product similiar to the food dehydrator I have. Really...how many fucking times can I make jerky?

*confused*
I think you get Arena points each week based on your standing and those are pretty much the same as honor points.

WTT Thrall for Saurfang.
