<edit> "Overlords drop creep and transport, also scout. Sure count workers for everyone as well."
Why would you count probes and drones. Are they also healers? I don't think so. They don't do shit. You ALWAYS see a squad of scvs following a mech army or as a part of a marine bunker rush or all-in.
Drones turn into buildings and probes warp in buildings, SCVs sit there and have to build them.
dont forget changelings, they are like mobile forcefields!
Actually, I had this done to me once. A zerg player dropped my base with a bunch of bane/lings, and then had a zealot "changeling" on hold position in my choke.
Was very frustrating until I realized what was happening.

I fucking hate that alienware ad I have to watch everytime I turn on a stream. Fuck you alienware, fuck you.
There's advertising on the internet?
Yeah, unless you are doing some crazy shit you are forced to watch ads before you watch a stream on livestream/own3d/justintv/whatever, you can mute some of them before they play but they are still incredibly annoying and at least four times as loud as my system sound.

I remember them being dumb for not letting players join who don't have a team (whitera) but that may have cahnged by now since I haven't been paying attention to it since they announced the thing with that hilariously terrible show match.
i thought games were going to be played on na servers
which i felt was kind of the disincentive for eu and kor players to be in the "north american" starleague
but fuck if i know the true status of the plans of an organization whos agenda is pretty silly at times
ok here is whats wrong with the NASL
1) They seem reluctant to allow full Korean participation. We'll see what happens with that.
2) Their production quality of the showmatch was pisspoor. Anytime any of the organisers have commented on that, they've said "we've recognised the flaws and are working on it"
No shit? You shouldn't need us to tell you how flawed that was.
3) Yesterday, InControl said "don't judge NASL by the first week of Season one"
What the fuck dude? what else do we judge it by? If the NASL doesn't come out day 1 with all guns blazing to silence the doubts, it will fail.
4) Terrible website. Looks like a high school web design class made it.
Their FAQ says "this is a temporary site". What they really mean is "We don't have anyone capable of designing a good one yet so we're going to make this one in Geocities and use it for now"
5) Lack of live, in person games. I don't care if this isn't something thats their fault, or even something they can change. Casting from replays is flat out inferior to casting a live game in person. Period. Not negotiable. The GSL will always have the advantage in this area.
In addition, to expand on the Korean issue, the NASL is damned if they do and damned if they don't.
If they do allow all the Koreans in, the NASL will be dominated by them, unless lag hampers them too badly. The players trained in the Korean system are just flat out better than most foreigner players, and that trend is going to accelerate exponentially until the US has team houses to rival the setup in Korea (Which I can't see ever happening due to the sheer size of the continent). There are some foreigner players right now who can compete with the Koreans, such as Moonglade, but even he didn't post results in the GSL. And you can't use Jinro/IdrA/HuK/etc as arguments for foreigner success because they have trained in Korea, they are products of the Korean system and as such are not really foreigner players anymore.
And if they DON'T allow all the Koreans in, perhaps going with a restricted system of invites, that is essentially saying "We know the foreigners suck and Koreans will dominate us, so we're going to regulate to keep them out so that we can all have our rewards still", which causes the tournament to lose some of its legitimacy and means that they will not have the best players.
I think my problem with the NASL is they seem to be really stretching this thing for all the hype they can muster and at the same time it seems like they are making a bit of it up as they go. They have tons of cash and one of the biggest names in the community fronting the whole thing and their production is worse than a lot of other tournaments. I think the whole releasing 5 players a day thing just screams of trying to drag out the thing for every last ounce of hype they can. I'm totally going to watch because it's great players, in NA, playing starcraft but I'm just not certain this is the e-sports game changer it's being hyped to be.
Oh neat. I didn't realize that with code A commentators that he could focus more on his play. I guess I could suffer through inferior commentators for Artosis.

We haven't seen any NASL productions yet, the show match wasn't cast from the same place or by the same people as the league is, plus the league games are cast live.
As for dragging out things for hype? That's their job to promote themselves, if it gets their league more attention there's no reason not to do it.
I'm actually more excited by TSL and the newly announced IGN league than I am NASL, but that's because I'd prefer if Gretorp and InControL played, and focused less on commentary.
To be perfectly honest, I'd love if TotalBiscuit casted NASL.
It's really that easy. Keep the casters synced and it doesn't end up sounding like crap with incontrol calling out the gg and a full minute later gretorp going GG!!!!!

This argument is stupid.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF:x
Or did you buy a ticket for the March VODs?
If your on firefox, I highly recommend http://noscript.net/
I hardly ever see any ads, even in videos. It also enhances security since you control what scripts run on sites you visit.
I knew when I said GSL someone would correct me. Jerrrrrk.
Does this let me watch older non-gstl vods?
he seriously better be in it
day9 said he'd be back to so I have an extra pair of fingers crossed so they're both covered
not as far as i know
the season passes only give you access to the "season" you bought it for, in this case the current gstl
also i really want artosis in the nasl
for some reason i feel like its his time to own
thats probably something they'll just make up as they go along in this poorly organised tournament
which i felt was kind of the disincentive for eu and kor players to be in the "north american" starleague
but fuck if i know the true status of the plans of an organization whos agenda is pretty silly at times
what's wrong with nasl? I haven't been paying attention
Nothing.
not much really
i just worded that aggressively
im still hype, but still realllly skeptical of what its going to result in
gonna support it if it even has a shred of good production though
good work my man, good work.
How could you deny this man:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcOz5R-M3Ps
How? You (so far) fiends!
Then I'll watch all the games regardless.
also damn rainbow played well the other night.

i dont understand
are we looking at the same website?
that is most definitely not a horrible, high school website
now it isn't the best but it isn't this horrible abomination you guys make it out to be
