Good News, Everyone! [Futurama] is Back!

A new thread, why not? The old one reached the century mark, and the Sunset Squad summarily dragged it kicking and screaming to Maple Street.
So let's get straight to the Good News™ already!
Maurice LaMarche: Futurama renewed! For two more seasons! All Glory To The Hypnotoad!
13 new episodes have been ordered, with an additional 13 optional. This is apart from the 13 episodes that will air beginning in June, 2011, on Comedy Central. So, yes, they will air in 13 episode blocks (Comedy Central loves those, for some reason), so that means there will be new Futurama in summer of 2012, and most probably in summer of 2013 as well, all off of this one order. Pretty good news, actually, don’tcha think? Because we kind of spread it out, so there are always new episodes to look forward to. That’s how I look at it, anyway.

Hear that?
That's me, doin' the Bender . . .
Have not been watching this on tv. But bought season 5 on dvd. The writing is some damn good quality. Season four quality. Better than the movies.
It was great. The time travel episode was one of the best episodes of the show ever.
Man, this and Venture Brothers renewal news makes me such a happy camper!

I loved season five, but I saw that, around the time that the first few episodes were released, people around the internet had problems with it for the stupidest reasons. I think the most common reason I saw was that people thought the writing was too different, which is obviously false.
I was afraid that they weren't gonna renew the show after season five, so this is good news indeed.
I don't know about you guys but Godfellas is one of my all-time favorites.
God: "Bender, being God isn't easy. If you do too much, people get dependent on you. And if you do nothing, they lose hope. You have to use a light touch, like a safecracker or a pickpocket."
Bender: "Or when a guy burns down a bar for the insurance money!"
God: "Yes, if you make it look like an electrical thing."

I have to say, somewhere along the way, Godfellas surpassed Roswell That Ends Well as my favorite Futurama episode. Although the Roswell episode still has the best line of any Futurama episode...
Professor attacking the air force base in the past: "Take that causality!"

zoidberg, imo, made roswell the amazing episode that it is
i'm not hearing a no...
Zoidberg was the best part, although the Professor and Leela trying to blend in was equally amazing.
Leela: I'll have one injection of Femaslim.

It was the Professor's order that got me.
"Croque Monsieur, a paella, and a stein of mead."
Me too... but I wasn't going to look up how to spell all that shit.

like, i appreciate well crafted and structured humor, too
but at the same time, some things can... simply make me laugh- no matter what
like, voice actors i mean... does that make me a low brow doofus
if zoidberg makes his 'whoop whoop whoop' noise, or roger from AD! cries pitifully with a glass of chardonay in one hand and a cigarette in the other... i'll laugh
The Jaimaica song is my favorite outside of the Robot Hell one, but the one I find myself singing at random times is the Devil interrupting the opera in Devil's Hands.
My two all-time favorite jokes are:
"I'm not good with words, which is why I'm in such a delicate conundrum."
and: Rook takes Pawnshop
I don't own a pawnshop, but if I did that's so what I would name it.
There's one scene that never fails to make me laugh, no matter how many times I watch it: the segment from Beast With a Billion Backs where Farnsworth and the team are at the scientists convention led by Stephen Hawking.
Every time Hawking makes that "oooooo" noise I lose it. Every time.

Mine is the "I could fit if I didn't have these damn arms! Ein, ein, ein." from Fry and the Slurm Factory. But I like a lot of the wordplay in there with the "When can we have some slurm?" "Soon enough!" "That's not soon enough!" and the like.
Plus apparently the guy who designed the grunka lunkas had never seen Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

Not quite Jurassic Bark. But good.

Yay for new Futurama!
I've been really impressed so far with the quality.
"Just slow down and I'll shoot Hitler out the window."
They tried to bury us. They didn't know that we were seeds. 2018 Midterms. Get your shit together.
It's also on instant streaming on Netflix if you got a subscription.
So, to keep count, there are actually THREE new seasons on the way.
So stoked!

Oh, friend, you should always know how to spell croque monsieur.
Best sandwich on the planet.
Haha, I forgot about Roswell! That episode is amazing.
Zoidberg totally made it, but "Take that, causality!" made me choke from laughing. God.
"Oh, a lesson in not changing history from Mr. I'm My Own Grandfather!"

Zoidberg pretty much has the best throwaway lines. Like as previously mentioned, "I'm Dr. Zoidberg, homeowner!"
Every time Hawking makes that "oooooo" noise I lose it. Every time.
"You can't just have your characters announce how they feel. That makes me angry."
Lots of new Futurama episodes in the future makes me happy.

I kinda think they're on par with the show now (not at its highest heights... but at least above average futurama episode.)
But god I came close. What an ending.
Also if anyone can find a legitimate youtube link of that scene with Stephen Hawking in Beast With a Billion Backs, I'll give you a cookie.
Knowing just ruins that...
