I'm not sure on this, but the idea of using the Wiimote+Nunchuk to garrote people, amongst other things, has a certain visceral draw to it.
It will also help kill Nintendo's kiddy image.

I liked Manhunt and look forward to the sequel.
If you guys have checked out the teaser trailer floating around (check IGN, Gametrailers) you'll notice it starts with "My name is Daniel *somethingorother* and I live in Hell" and ends with "Tonight, we all get out" with some implication that this Daniel character being insane.

I'm thinking, new story, new main character, set in an asylum. Like the asylum chapter of the original blown out of proportion. Sounds good to me. The asylum area was my favorite.

As far as gameplay goes, I'd like to see some more polish, refinement of the stealth system and some more freedom and exploration. If they do this one well, I'm in.

Though I might go for the PS2 version because chances are the Wii controls will be horrible.

Manhunt is one of my faves, and am looking forward to this big time. It had a nice blend of stealth and action. The stealth portion wasn't very deep but still great. The smileys and the hoods were brilliant. And that piggsy fight in the attic was some scary stuff!

On the Manhunt 2 site there's a short teaser and it looks like the main character is a mental patient and I get the idea that he'll be lead by voices in his head instead of a guy speaking through an earpeice. Interesting.

Back when I was playing this, I checked out the biggest fansite and it had a teeny bit of info about Manhunt 2. There's more there now.

Daniel Lamb. He's supposed to be the 'innocent' and his other personality is the stone cold killer. Something about mind control in there too.

And, yeah...using the Wiimote to perform 'execution minigames' is going to make this game really creepy and uncomfortable. Awesome!

I loved the Asylum but the Zoo and City areas at the end of the game were the most memorable for me. Starkweather's Burtonesque lawn and gardens was mind boggling as well as the Skulls Cemetary and Church... I loved the environments of the game.

I'd seriously like to see the Wii Controls used as its all simple movements anyway for the Executions and theres not alot of complex button pressing- the game is perfectly suited for the controls. Also the voice can come out of the wiimote rather than the PS2 headset.

I dig the idea. Might still get it on PS2 though to complete my collection all on one system.

I'd much rather see this on next-gen systems. Stealth style games deserve some beautiful lighting effects and the like. I'd love to see a huge sprawling level for you to tackle, much more Running-Man/80's apocalyptic style.

Interesting but I'm not going to buy it unless it looks at least significantly better than the PS2 version.

Manhunt was a vastly underrated game that deserved to do much better than it did. A perfect example of modern survival horror that was genuinely creepy at times. The only thing that let it down was the visuals, which felt dated.

I have mixed feelings about the sequel. I'm happy that there will be a sequel, but I would have preferred to see it on the 360 or the PC. I'm hoping it wont be exclusive to the Wii.

The dark, grainy, ugly visuals actually really fit. Nothing should really be pretty or well-lit in this game. And I think a game as violent as this being a Wii exclusive would really change people's minds about Nintendo.

The voices coming out of the Wiimote would also be great. If they have guns again, there's also the perfect aiming system.
