I don't drink beer so I don't even know what that means.

Look, can someone make Mim a care package with:

    - a pre-rolled blunt of a connoisseur's sativa
    - a nice craft stout
    - a dark chocolate+bacon bar

It's clearly needed, as the rest of the world has failed her up to this point.

And two tabs of the finest molly with a light dust of tina.

Tony Bilsborough, a spokesman for Cadbury-Schweppes in Britain, said his company ships its specially formulated chocolate crumb — a mash of dried milk and chocolate to which cocoa butter will be added later — to Hershey, Pa. What happens next accounts for the differences.

“I imagine it’s down to the final processing and the blending,” he said. After consulting with chocolate manufacturers in each country, Cadbury tries to replicate the taste people grew up with, he said. In the United States, that means a bar that is more akin to a Hershey bar, which to many British palates tastes sour.

The difference is American chocolate tends to be sweeter than every other countries chocolate I have had. And so far that is a lot of chocolate since I like to get at least one kind from a store when I am in a country. Its basically designed to American taste buds. Which tends to make [chat] turn its nose up to it I guess.

Personally I don't mind it. Not my favorite(Swiss is my favorite, fuck that shit is addictive). But I still get a dark chocolate milky way from time to time or a Reese's big cup. Because they are still good.

My friends in Japan have an obsession with skittles actually. I find it funny. Mostly because you can't buy skittles in Japan.

I'm still comparing prices from home to prices from Boston. Some interesting stuff, there. I still can't believe a week of public transport only costs 15$, for instance.

    The Free Market!

It's like one day, two tops over here. Astounding. Food varies greatly. Restaurant prices are about the same, takeout and fast-food is a good deal cheaper.

restaurant prices in boston are fairly expensive by US standards

yeah. lower than NYC; higher than pretty much anywhere else except maybe San Francisco.

fast food and local pizzas and grinders etc are for the most part wicked cheap compared to standard boston restaurant prices and are probably on-par with anywhere else in the US. much cheaper than their equivalent in europe. probably because americans have about the lowest frequency of home-cooking and people have to eat something.
