    Yeah it kinda does.

    Like, my house isn't even close to a train station.

    I mean, if my folks were out of town then I'd gladly let people crash, but it's much easier to just meet up in town somewhere.

    But a $10-$15 cover and drinks costing quadruple what they do from the bottle shop?

    Yeah I don't really go to clubs any more for pretty much that reason. Also all the terrible people.

    Also it's usually more like $20-$25 in the city, numbers.

    I'd recommend a pub crawl, starting around lunch time. There are heaps of nice pubs around the place, all within walking distance of each other. And they all do great pub lunches. Also we could go to the Lord Nelson, and blunter could have some his beloved Three Sheets on tap, at the place it's made.

    Well if we start at Lord Nelson, we can just head down towards The Rocks. Some pubs are crap, but there are a few nice ones. There's the Harbourview, then the Glenmore Rooftop Beer Garden, The Argyle and a bunch of others whose names elude me currently. Heck, if we're feeling particularly "adventurous", we could start on the other side of the harbour, at the Kirribilli Hotel, then jump over the bridge by train to Wynyard, and walk to the Lord Nelson.

    If we're decently dressed and feeling fancy we could end the night here. 47 floors above the CBD in a rotating lounge/bar with classy music and attractive European waitresses. Drinks are pretty expensive, but it's an awesome place to just wind down after a day of slogging it out in the city. Probably won't feel like drinking too much by that point, and as long as you're not rowdy then there are no problems.

    None of these places have cover charges either.

    Gatsby would love my life right now.

    I think out of the past two weeks I've had spiders just on me for ages without noticing. I think I keep walking through webs and they decide to come with me.

    E: I think I am some kind of spider god. Or maybe a Werespider.
