I don't do an afterparty at East. I devote more time to Enforcing. Someone else is more than welcome to take up the mantle, though.

What would happen if I showed up at the door and flashed a handful of George Washington's your way? Would I eventually be let in?

Good luck finding a handful of George Washington impersonators on such short notice.

Also I'd try a handful or Sir Robert Bordens. They might be worth more :P

Though the people who impersonate him are a little more niche.

Unfortunately, no you wouldn't. There are no tickets for sale and no one available to take your money. I hate to have to say this, but please don't show up during the scheduled party time (8-11) unless you have a ticket. We want to avoid overcrowding issues and doing anything that would upset the venue, especially in our first year there. I'm a little worried that a crowd of Protomen fans is going to be there, wanting to see their show, and Jillian's + myself having to deal with some kind of "situation." I've done my best to get the word out that we're sold out.

So again, please don't show up if you don't have a ticket. I don't like turning anyone away, but that has to be the case. Make sure you get in on the party early next year!

The menu has been finalized and sent to Jillian's! Some compromising had to be made to accommodate vegetarian options, but we got popular choices all around. The final menu is:

    Assorted Gourmet Pizzas ($4.00)
Crispy Chicken Tenders w/ 3 Dipping sauces ($4.00)
Stuffed Mushroom Caps w/ spinach & parmesan ($3.00)
    Seasonal Fresh Fruit Display ($3.00)
Tortilla Chips w/ Homemade Salsa $1.50)

Jillian's let us sneak an extra $.50 in there without charging, so be appreciative and treat them nicely. :D

Arco, I'm sure not everyone will agree with me here, but thank you SO much for having vegetarian options. I will be sure to buy you a drink (or several) :)

Awww, no buffallo wings. Oh well, I can always order a plate of them for myself. :D

Yeah, it's not like the tickets weren't on sale for weeks :p.

I have to say, I'm kinda disappointed that the boring menu options got all the votes.. pizza, chicken tenders, and salsa? Might as well get Denny's to cater.

    Guess I'll eat elsewhere beforehand.

Have you thought about maybe "hiring" (asking for a volunteer) for door watching and security purposes

The menu options I chose represent 33.48% of the total vote. Everything chosen was within the top 11 options. We could only go with a combination that added up to $15.50, and I chose to go with a total of 5 menu options rather than 4, to give people a greater variety of food to eat. Furthermore, if I had chosen a menu that prioritized the greatest possible percentage of the vote and still fell within our budgetary constraints, it would have consisted of 4 options rather than 5, had no vegetarian fare except for the occasional non-meat pizza, and represented 33.93% of the vote rather than 33.48%.

I realized half-way through composing this post that you were being sarcastic, but decided to finish anyway. :P

I personally expected you to have spent this last few weeks maniupulating the global economy to force down the prices of the items so we could have more types of food and please every single person attending. I am extremely disappointed...

Word. Although after four days of being on my feet (last year my pedometer read 64 miles of walking, and that was without TWDT) I may want to find a nice, quiet chair somewhere and play some Crazy 8s or something.

Portland, Oregon, and sloe gin fizz. If that ain't love, then tell me what is.

Arco, I don't want to be a blatant brown-noser but you've done a fantastic job so far with this after party!

One question: when do you expect to do raffling and such? Do you have a schedule set? I'm asking because I started a new job this week and I was lucky to get Friday off for PAX which means no recuperating on Monday and no late night on Sunday. /wah So, I'm just curious. :)

For those unfamiliar with the area -

If you plan to drive to Jillian's, there is a ton of free parking on the east side of the street along Lake Union, just north of Jillian's. HIDE ALL THE VALUABLES IN YOUR VEHICLE. I cannot stress that enough. The neighborhood's been a little rough lately (I work just up the street) and cars are broken into on a regular basis. Stow your PAX swag and remove any tech hookups including GPS stands.

Also if you plan to drive - have more than one route mapped out to get back to the hotel. Due to the Mercer St. construction, night-time traffic patterns change on a weekly or even nightly basis. It's not really a hassle, but you may be forced onto 9th St instead of Westlake. It all depends on how they decide to play with the traffic cones that night. It's a 24/7 project so it'll still be going on Sunday.

Is the neighborhood rough enough that we probably shouldn't be walking to and from the event?

Spacing them across the event makes the most sense to me, so maybe some people who can't stay the whole time have a chance to win something. I wouldn't concentrate them all at any given time.

Make sure to give your ticket to a friend before you leave the party.
Then if your friend wins something with your ticket, you get to see how good of a friend they really are.

I just figured I'd ask because I was curious if people would eventually be let in if/when other people left. Knowing now that we wont really saves me a trip.

I'm traveling with a group of people this year and figuring out who wanted to go to Jillian's with me took longer than expected, so I missed out on delicious tickets. Owells, I'll just get one for myself next year and leave them to fend for themselves :P
