    Oh man, that's exciting!

I feel like living with Amanda and Neil would be ultra fun, but that might just be a fantasy of mine.

the thing is, gaiman is onboard as a writer

Six seasons? That's stretching a lot of material.

Also agreeing with straightzi's opinion. Apart from the very end in the book, the gods were extremely understated in their powers. They were basically just humans the vast majority of the time, which was the whole point.

    Still, I'll watch it.

I think with 6 seasons it's pretty clear that it's expanding on the story/setting rather than just following the plot of the novel. I would be very shocked if Anansi Boys wasn't also worked into the show.

I dunno, Fear. A world where every different incarnation of every god ever is a potential character seems pretty narrow

    Like three episodes, tops

I think I will be ostracized if I admitted that I didn't care for Anansi Boys that much. Maybe it was the fact that I listened to it on audio book. The narrator was incredibly annoying.

And for those asking, No, 6 years of AMERICAN GODS on TV doesn't mean just the 1st book. It means I need to write the 2nd now, for a start.

What are you talking about. Lenny Henry's reading of Anansi Boys is one of the best audiobooks I've ever heard.

Anansi Boys is marvelous and I love it as much as one should love a book.

I still need to read American gods though, I really can't think of a reason why I haven't yet.

Although if I do love Anansi Boys then Neverwhere is my sexy mistress that I eventually run off with and have beautiful children with.

I love Neverwhere so much. Really hoping he writes more in the setting sometime in the future.

American Gods, for me, was so much better the second time around. First time I just didn't really get the hype. It was good but not particularly grand. But listening to it on audiobook I enjoyed it much more. It still wasn't as enjoyable as Neverwhere though.
