Well, there are devastating enemy attacks that, in order to nullify them, you have to use certain arts. These enemy attacks are talents (white), physical (red) and ether (purple). These are explained in the tutorial I think.
I was running around Colony 6 and I came across a nopon and high entia playing in the water. I stopped to talk to a nearby NPC and when I finish, I see Sharla playing in the water with them. Little things, huh.
Where do you find the gun for the lost memento quest (where you find the items of the ladies son who was trying to reach the Bionis head). I found the Armor and Knife.
...we made it cool to wear medallions and say hotep...
Just bought this from the shop. I don't have time to play it for a while but I thought I should get one of the 27 copies that made it to Aus. I exaggerate, of course.

I want to say that's the second piece you're "supposed" to find? If so it's on Bionis' Leg, go to that shrine in the upper right hand portion of the lower level where the Giant's Mirror and that fuckoff cliff spider are, and take the path around up to the hidden area.
Zavvi order arrived yesterday but sat in the mailbox until midnight because someone's fiance worked a double shift and had the only mail key. I will be playing today.
I haven't used it extensively yet, but from what I gather (feel free to correct me), the quality depends on the heat which is random, the affinity between the crafting pair and the cilinder/crystal qualities. If you get under 100% it just turns into higher cilinders/crystals, if it's between 100% and 200% it turns into a gem, 200%-300% it gains a level and >300% (mega heat) it yields two perfect gems.
Does anyone know where I can find intermediate art books for Melia? I have 20k unspent AP here and nowhere to put it in.
I'm reasonably sure you can buy some in Alcamoth.
Where is this shop located? I don't see any in Alcamoth and the one in the lighthouse only sells books for Dunban.
There's a shop in the Lighthouse?
Erhm. Never mind.
It's located just outside the entrance to the palace, on the city's upper level. It's just one guy standing in front some... cube... thing. The little tent shouldn't be that hard to miss on your map.
It blows my mind to hear that there are areas far bigger than the ones in the beginning. I'm still running around Bionis' Leg, trying to get all the Refugee quests done before
moving them to Colony 6
Are there any good sites for quest guides? Specifically, I'd like a site that pointed out the location for each monster/item/etc in maps.
Took me a damn hour to find White Eduardo in Sky Stage.
Edit: Oh God they just keep piling more quests after I finish others. Stop giving me tasks so I can get you out of your damn cave!
Also, is there any indication when you level up an affinity between two characters? I think there's a sound cue when it happens, but it's hard to tell.
I got Reyn and Dunban high enough to view their heart-to-heart in the camp....
If Shulk is the sword, then I'll be his shield.
D'awwww. So bromantic.
I will continue to wonder if the game has different romantic outcomes through the heart-to-hearts. While I haven't seen any of their heart-to-hearts yet, it does sound at times like Sharla really wants to have a taste of the "legendary hero".
On that note, Dunban is indeed a beast in battle. The ability to break and topple in a fight? As well as haste and strength boosting skills? Crazy.
Boy am I glad that the collectible item list shows you if an item will be or is required for a quest. I've been hording all my crystals and collectibles and ran out of space for both. I made a bunch of gems, sold the low level ones, and then started selling all the collectibles I didn't need.
Quests don't seem like the best source of money in the game anymore. I went from about 70,000 to 360,000 just from clearing out all that junk.

Thanks. I suppose playing it in 480i isn't the most optimal. I can barely tell the difference between landmarks and exclamation marks. Subtitles are way too small as well.
Anyway, my crystal inventory is now full too. What should I do? I don't even know what half these abilities do. Selling the lvl. 1 crystals sounds reasonable, or would it be better to craft random gems?

I used the level 1 gems to get familiar with the system and then sold them all off. There's a few rare abilities I would turn into gems though, like Exp+ or AP+ stuff.

I really could use a chart or guide that listed where each type of creature was. Can't find any damn Bunnits or Wisps in Bionis' Leg, even though I've run into them plenty of times before quests.
Also, I can't tell if some of the goofy monster names are intentional or the result of a spotty localization.

Their's no way to manually block or use items right?
Reyn has a stance that gives him 100% block, but he can't attack during it.

Hah. My colony is at two stars and the rest of the towns still at one, and I'm almost 40 hours in at lvl. 40. I have a lot of catching up to do.

no seriously, can someone help here, I'm trying to get there but it seems to be up on a hill I can't reach, and I don't think I can jump...
Exit the Residential District, turn left, and follow the hill overlooking the lake.
