I'm eligible to upgrade my cell on verizon (currently have the env touch). From what i've heard, the battery life on the HTC thunderbolt sucks. I'm trying to decide between the TB and an iPhone. Any one have any thought? And before we start, i'm not looking for the usual apple sux, go google/open source debates.
thanks!

From what I understand, you currently can't turn off the 4G LTE. So if the phone finds that reception it will burn down its battery in less than five hours. It is also reportedly very heavy for a phone. Anything will be hard pressed to stand up to an iPhone in battery life (assuming minimal push and background activity).
Sidestepping the google/apple debate I'd ask yourself what you really are going to use those high 4G speeds for. When it works, 3G will cover video streaming. Is that 4G upgrade worth it? If not, an iPhone or a different Android phone would probably be a better day-to-day move.
