Silly americans with their crazy moneys buying overated footballers...and their "hot" wives:
In this thread we discuss crack, heroin and the upcoming winning eleven 2007 for the Nintendo DS. As in, portable and take your team everywhere you go and forget about your work and life. Portable.
When on this fucking god given evolutionised earth is this game coming out in Europe? TELL ME FUCKER! TELL ME NOW BEFORE I GO GREEN AND RIP MY CLOTHES OFF!

wha?...I would figure it came out there first? (as pro evo of course), I live in the US but given the popularity of the sport is kinda unfair we get it first :P
I still need to know when this game comes out in Europe.
For that matter, I want to know when:
FFIII,
Rogue Galaxy,
and White Knight Story
are out in Europe.
We never get any information or good shit fast over here.

What about the new Winning Eleven for the PS2? Pro Evolution?
If I've never played one, would that be a good place to start, or a suicidal one?
I've always wanted to play one of the W11 games, because it's always been a sport I've been fond of(for real and especially gaming wise[Goal! anyone?]).
If you're willing to buy the game before any reviews surface, and you're one of those pillocks who believes in "supporting" the European divisions of games publishers, Play-Asia has the Japanese version of the game available for £5.09.* That's probably a full £54.90 cheaper than what British stores will be asking for the game. I haven't really been keeping tabs on how badly domestic buyers have been getting buggered for the past year or so.
If it's anything like the other Winning Eleven titles, you lose nothing from playing the Japanese version. May just have to hit up GameFAQs for a menu translation. Not much of a sacrifice for the twenty quid you'll be saving.

a full £55? did you mean $ or do you, like.. buy from Argos or something?
Well, crud. Just called everywhere I can think of and nobody has it yet.
Where do people live that games actually appear on the Tuesday they're scheduled to appear? I can never get anything before Wednesday, and that's a rare occasion. It's usually the Thursday of the week.
I'm picking up Winning 11 for the PS2 today, Wednesday. (it's a shame the 360 version is supposed to run slower and be less responsive) But I am definitely wondering if the DS version is worth picking up too. No websites has reviews yet.
If there's no Master League mode in the DS version, there's no money from me.
Demos, let me know how the new PS2 version is. Especially if you could compare it with last year's edition and be bitchy about 'realism' and whatnot. Would be appreciated.

NP, I'll let you know. Apparently they upped the defensive AI a lot, they help each other out more. And the keepers are better now too. Should be a bitch to score, just how it is supposed to be.
If she had bigger lips, she would make a good Steven Tyler.

Ah ha ha, it's true. She's still quite hot, though not as goggleor. What does that say about Steven Tyler, hmm?
I really got into the world cup this last summer, and rented an EA game, but still haven't made the effort to get into anything more than that. I know a winning eleven game would do wonders for helping me learn all the nuances and everything about the game. Hopefully this turns out well, because a portable version sounds splendid.
IIRC, a few sites, notably GAF which had people in Japan who got the game, have all said that it's absolute garbage. I would advise caution on this game for now.

Ok, so I just played my first game on the PS2 version, I'll try and explain some changes. First off the game is so much fun, it's a little prettier and everything moves a little quicker, the players and the ball.
The defense is really good, double teaming, covering their man and trapping strikers offsides. The goalies are better too, they come out a lot more and are hard as hell to tip the ball over. The shooting is harder no matter who you use. I play as Arsenal and with Henry shooting is still really hard to not over do.
One big change I noticed is headers, they are no longer so automatic. You have to control those too, its really easy to shoot those over the bar. Also for fouls you can now do a quick reset to catch the defense not set.
The game ended 0-0 and Henry only snuck through their back line twice, both times the keeper came out and took me out. Overall the improvements are awesome , they make the game more realistic and quicker while making it more challenging, I love it.
BTW, I had to try 3 Gamestop/EB Games to find one with enough copies to fill their preorders let alone people who didn't reserve it. So good lucky finding it.
So, between this game and fifa 06 for the DS....which one do people recommend? I know the "Master League" mode is missing from W11 but what about any league play options in which I can play a season in a custom league, or any league for that matter.
I too am interested in wether or not the DS version is good enough to get.
As for the PS2 version...maybe it's me but it seems alot easier to overhit the ball, I've done it quite a couple of times..on the plus side though, Adriano has gotten alot more awesome.

I didn't even know he was a footballer.
Or is he the wife?

Huh? Did you actually edit out Tiemler's joke in order to misunderstand it?

And I hope the game is good.

I have no problem with what they mention in there though. However, I'd still like confirmation about the Master League mode missing, anyone?
Tried to get the DS version also, but I couldn't find it.
