Good games there Drem when it wasn't against Mr. Laggerstein. It was fine with you though, I didn't really feel any kind of input lag. I just suck at doing the 623/421 on the PS3 controller for some reason. Good thing that's not a core move for Akane! Oh wait. Anyway thanks to you I now know the purpose of that teleport move Akane has. I was wondering how you were supposed to use it, and now I know you use it to get behind the opponent and mess up their block. So I'm going to practice that. Sadly I get nervous when I play other people so I was never able to do the thing with Tyr I was practicing before I joined the room. At least in our last Akane/Akane match I remembered her 2E is kind of weird to approach from the air so I was able to win at least one round.
Now the question is who I want to make a second. As you could see I'm kind of debating between Konoha and Lilica. The problem with Konoha though is I end up doing the shurikens by accident and if you do the third one it takes forever to recover from it.
Don't be too hard on him; I sent him a message after kicking him and he was a pretty good sport about it.
A couple of matches in, I got a phone call that lasted the entirety of our playtime, so that, coupled with having not played this for a while, made my play a lot sloppier than I would have liked. As for Akane's teleport, well- I'm doing those completely on accident. I have this execution problem where I'll do that instead of her qcf move. The moments I pull it out are when the opponent are being defensive, so they are able to attack me while I recover from the teleport. If I delayed it a little it might have better results. I have seen match videos of people using it defensively, though; using the upward variant of the teleport to make an opponent whiff a move and then countering. Akane has a lot of defensive options that I never think about in the heat of battle.
If Konoha's shuriken come out by accident, you have 2 more shurikens to stop before that third one comes out, which should be enough time realize you messed up and stop. Otherwise, you just need to get a bit more comfortable with the character. I tried Lilica for a while, but I just could not for the life of me figure out how to play her. I need to watch some videos of her.
Lilica oh my gooooood, what is up with you? Most characters you can figure out pretty easily, but I swear she's one of those few characters that screams for a tutorial or a challenge mode to let you know some combos. She's so hard to understand without looking online. I want to play as her but she isn't making it easy. I guess it balances out though considering how easy it is to learn to play a basic Akane.
My god, I finally get it. I understand how Lilica works now. It took like an hour of practice and looking at the descriptions for her moves after all the additional times I had done the same thing, but I finally got it. It's so confusing to figure out how to interpret all the stars and circles and know when exactly you can do them. I was so proud of myself when I actually pulled off her critical heart, and now I can do it all the time because it finally clicked. I just need to know how to smoothly combo all her stuff and get the timing down on when to do inputs as she's hanging on the wall. You have to be quick or she'll just jump off.

The PlayStation Store is back online and thank you everyone for your patience. You will notice a huge lineup of new downloadable games, demos, add-on content, themes, avatars and videos. Also, PlayStation Plus has been updated with new full game trials, free games and DLC, free avatars and even more discounts.
You may have noticed that the content promised as part of the Welcome Back offer is not yet live. It is currently in the final stages of testing and will be available to download soon; we’ll be sure to let you know when.
The next PlayStation Store and PlayStation Plus update will be this Friday, June 3, and then we will roll right into some special publishes starting next week for E3 (so be sure to check back daily!).
In the meantime, check out all the new downloadable content on PlayStation Store.
I should be getting this game later today, barring unforeseen circumstances. If anyone wants to play me for some free wins my tag is BlueMap.
I have always been pretty adamant about Arcana Heart not being sexualized like people seem to think, but the console port of AH3 is making that argument more and more difficult. I guess I need to start specifying "the original release of AH3". That said, my roommate has a breast mouse pad and it's actually quite comfortable. I'd really like to get the artboook.
Now that the PSN store is back let's try and get some stuff going. I've been dropping the ball pretty hard on that front, as life hasn't been progressing as expected, but hopefully I can resolve this problem quickly.

Gilder's Mini-Guide to understanding how Lilica plays.
Note: This isn't actually how to do anything amazing with her, because lord knows I can't do that. This is to understand what the hell you're doing if you're trying to play Lilica so you can get started.
So you're trying to play Lilica. No doubt you've looked at her moves list, saw all those stars and circles, tried doing moves and done something completely different, and don't know why you can't do her Critical Heart. That's okay, this is normal. Lilica's move list is probably one of the hardest to understand because it's confusing as hell to look at. Let's let a move finish its description. Notice how almost all of them say that a star or a circle can be used as a follow-up? Look at the names of the moves. If a move has the symbol that the move you were looking at says can be used as a follow-up, you can combo into it. Take a look at the wall step move. It says a star can be used as a follow-up while on the edge. Try 236B while hanging. You'll get on your rollerblades and slide forward. That move says you can do a circle as a follow-up. Wall step is a circle. Get back on the wall. This is the easiest way to get a handle on follow-ups, because you can repeat this forever. Now try with another move. Screw Edge is a candidate. That means from the 236B you can go into 236A, even though Screw Edge says it's during a dash. Symbol takes priority. From there you can do a Screw Edge Alpha or Beta. So basically read the description for the moves you're using and see what it says can be used a follow-up. Then look at your list and find a move with that symbol next to it. That's something you can use. Screw Edge Alpha and Tornado Edge are basically your finishers. You can't do followups from them if I'm remembering correctly.
So how about that Critical Heart. You want to do it, but it says you need 3 followups. Well now you know how to chain your followups, but you're having a hard time figuring out why you can't do it. Well first of all, you can't do it in mid-air. It's a ground move. A majority of your followups put you in the air so you won't be able to do it then. But wait, you say you're on the ground and it still won't work. The second problem is that Drive Edge does not count as a starting followup. You can't do Drive Edge and two other moves. That doesn't work. You need one more. The simplest way to do your CH is Wall Step, Boomerang Ride, and Screw Edge. Don't go into Alpha or Beta. You'll drop to the ground, but you're skidding. You can do your CH while you're skidding here.
So there you go, that's what I eventually figured out after struggling with her in training for about an hour and a half. Once you understand how to read her move list things finally start to click and you'll have a lot more fun playing as her. Until then she just seems confusing and you don't understand why Boomerang Ride won't fucking work. Oh, and I may have messed up if wall step is a circle or a star. Just flip the symbols for boomerang ride and wall step if I'm wrong.

I'm kind of shy anyway so I doubt I'd say much.
I haven't played in a while! PS Store is down! No!
I'll start a player list in the OP. I will see you cool cats online.
