Edit: Yeah, Static-X was awesome. I'm pretty sure after that guy went to prison for statutory rape and transporting a minor across state line the band kinda fell apart though.
wait
WHAT??
Take note, SE++ members: this is what it's like to get old. You stop paying attention to your favorite bands.
Yeah man, their lead guitarist or their fucking bassist or something. It was crazy, they just dropped off the face of the earth after that.
Guitarist. And no they didn't go away. They got their old guitarist from the Wisconsin Death Trip album and released a new album in 2005, called Start a War. Sounds more like Wisconsin Death Trip than their other albums (well at least from the songs I'v heard).
The pedo was just some loser from that band Dope that was in the band to fill in the sped chugs.
I was listening to Boris earlier and Denial of God hasn't quite dug me out of the hole they created by pounding me straight into the ground, I wonder what this Sear album is like, I haven't heard of them before.
Yeah, Skindread. Big fat jamaican lead singer with dreads to his waist, and the rest of the guys in the band are Nazis. If you've ever heard that metal song with a Jamaican dude singing, that's them.
wait, they're Nazis?
I kinda like that song they had when they first came out to the "mainstream"

Have you heard the new DHG?
Neg, actually I only first heard Dødheimsgard for the first time not long ago, Monumental Posession and Satanic Art, I believe.
I've been told I need to hear 666 International. They're just one of those bands that I want to hear but I only have so much hard drive space at a time.
edit: I just checked out the metal archives page for Supervillain Outcast, great album cover and song titles. The Snuff Dreams Are Made Of? Unaltered Beast?
This is a boon, and makes the experience more enjoyable.
Last year (keep in mind that I was 15 at the time) a thirty-something year old woman with what I assume were her rather attractive daughters offered to buy me a beer. She wasn't bad looking, but I was all "Buh... I'm 15." And she looked like she wanted to kill herself.
It may have been the Gene Simmons face-paint that threw her off. Because I, in fact, like to rock and roll all night, and then party every day.
tFallout: I will be in a forum black metal band with you
for serious
we've been around for like a year but we are hella underground (how good are you at the guitarening/what else do you do)
motherfucker if you even think about replacing me i swear to tiamat i'll crucify you against an inverted cross with a nail gun, in the middle of a church, and then burn the whole fucking thing down on you
Guys you know all the dates and bands on that website were for last year. I went.
Dragonforce sucked copius amounts of dick live
Strapping Young Lad were totally rad
Hatebreed were so hardcore that they beat up the whole front row and took their lunch money.

Every other band sucked.
Critical FAILURE. Dragonforce rocked harder then every other band except MAYBE Disturbed, and they tied for second with Hatebreed. Bleeding Through on second stage was awesome as well.

You fail for liking Disturbed, Hatebreed, Dragonforce, Bleeding Through, and Distrubed!
And Fallout, can I be in a band with you?
As Fallout's manager, you can create a side project with him.
Hey Dragongforce is good. But I know that they can be crappy, I've seen them suck before. I don't like Hatebreed, but I can see where some people would, and Bleeding Through is meerly ok.

I think my opinion completely dissolves in that I am totally Ozzfest's target demographic, minus the douchiness and the bad hygeine. Also, the fact that my musical taste varries about as much as... something... that varies a lot...
The point I'm trying to make is that I can listen to all kinds of genres of music and enjoy them all, whether it be classical, country, new-metal, rock, whatever.

Honestly, I think they're probably the most talented assemblage of awesome-sauce to ever be in the same band. Jimmy Page=greatest guitarist ever, John Bonnom (sp?)=one of, if not the, greatest drummers ever, Robert Plant on vocals... that other one... Whose name I never remember.

What? No, I don't bet. Huh?
(your name)
were you here for like the past day when he had the ridiculously long name?
I think you were
GWAR is an experience live. Musicwise, it's not much to write home about. Catchy and rockin' yes, but nothing too mind-blowing.

Ozzfest doesn't rule for me.

I dont know about the D-Force thing, but yes, SOAD is "On hiatus".
Anyway, that band list is from last year.
-Mikal-
Are they worth checking out? I'm tempted to look into their stuff but don't want to waste time/moneys on something medicore.

Or, a bit more recent on the time-line, Alice Cooper! Woo!
Hey, Stoopid!
