It's a play on words. He has traveled through time to the year 1394. She's asking if it's a bad time because he is in bed with a chick, and he is making a joke about what year he is currently in.

Tycho's dialogue tends to be more sophisticated than Gabe's, so he is saying that this bit points to Tycho's hand, despite the original comic making the joke that Rex Ready is wholly Gabe's.

Rex: Hello, miss. I couldn't help but notice that we both have a remarkable similarity.
Lady: !? And what would that be?
Rex: We're both about to get a little tail.

And the rest, as they say, is history . . . or possibly the future.

PAX events are dense with requests to bring back Rex Ready - even though the entire idea of the bit is that Rex Ready is a bad, dumb thing!
Ironically (or... maybe predictably), Rex Ready is probably like their most marketable idea. Studios would probably pay billions for the rights to it.

Unfortunately, then they'd just wind up churning out another Theodore Rex, when what the fans really wanted was an espionage thriller, played totally straight.

Just with time travel. And a talking dinosaur.

    And a hard-R rating.
