Friendly Fire in ZPS is so much fun. Gotta love those pro grenades killing half the team.
The best part about grenades is when you know you've screwed it up and have just enough time to run away while yelling apologies. Then six people die mid-turn, obscenities half-formed in their splattered minds.
One of the best things about this game is the way you can't tell how many survivors are left if you're a survivor.
"Where'd everybody go? Guys?
............guys?"
lastsurvivor: Am I the last survivor?
zombie1: yes
zombie2: no
zombie1: er, no
also, Toons' claim of not teamkilling was humorously proven incorrect during his first round in-game. And several rounds after

Just wish this game had been cleaned up as far as hit detection and attack feedback. It gets pretty irritating to flail wildly at a human a foot in front of you and not know which of your hits are actually landing and which ones are falling off to the sides. That goes triple for when you have to charge through a hail of gunfire and flub the one hit you might get.
And since you spend most of your time as a zombie charging through gunfire, that means a lot of irritating misses.

It's equally irritating being on the other end, dying to a zombie that's 3 feet back
The most annoying thing about this mod is the map design. Subway and Biotec are the best maps, as long as everyone knows how the fuck to get around it and where the objectives are. If not, they're the worst.
Oh, and who the hell thought ZPA would be a good playtype, jesus.

Are we still doing the changed infection rate?
Cause that was god fun to actaully be able to infect people.
I really enjoyed the bit on ...Harvest? where the shit hit the fan and I had to hit the IED in the house before we got to the basement. That round when horribly and we were overrun, so I hit it, and there was a splatter, followed by deafening silence and the right side of my screen filling up with voice icons.
I'm betting with the greatly reduced knockback, 30% is going to end up too high. Whatever it is now is too low though, so :^:
I like the sound of that protection mod. It's so annoying when I swing at a guy, but oh no! he just turned green but it's too late, I can't take back that click and now there won't be any betrayal mayhem.
yeah you're probably right about the infection rate. Changed it to only 20 for now.
I've also upped pistol and rifle damage since they're supposed to be higher than they were. I assume they changed it with the reduced knockback patch. Might increase shotgun damage a wee bit as well.
edit: MP5 uses pistol ammo now. I doubt this will be OP but hey we'll see
How exactly should you act when you know you're infected? Up to the person or should you go out of your way to fuck over other survivors before you turn?

infected should not team kill. That's pretty much the only "don't do" thing. The standard is to ask for ammunition of whatever you have on you but yeah on objective maps like Subway it's okay to do things for zombies like open the hatch in the cargo room

You act like a survivor until you change.
When I say act, I mean act. You're not really on their side anymore, but you can't ACTIVELY fuck them over. As in, fill them with lead. But you do sit close to someone, try to distract them from you, and maul their back when you become a zombie.
I just act completely normal up until the point the sound starts fading. Set up barricades, share ammo, protect my "allies" from zombies. It makes the betrayal all the more sweet when they trust you completely.
I have never once been accused of being infected when I actually was

I really wish I could go back and time and make you infected when we were hiding in that IED closet.

We took a wrong turn somewhere!

I might get roped back into this!

-infection rate is 30%
-installed this: http://forums.alliedmods.net/showthread.php?p=1013456
the latter is basically an infected protection plugin.
Then the round after that where I waited in that the same closet, and I ended up the last person, and I heard the footsteps get closer...
And closer...
And closer...
Then I hit the explode the IED button, and it went off as two or three of 'em rounded the corner into the closet.

In general, make chaos and hilarity ensue.

That would've literally been the best thing.
When they game dies again, I should start playing L4D2.
Shameful PPH
I'm in, as it'd probably be best if I didn't play until 2 in the night, like I did yesterday.
I think I infected like 3 people that round, we had people on the inside <_<
It sucks so much
Delete the steam.dll and steamui.dll and maybe the clientregistry.blob thingies
