I was wondering if someone could help me figure out the name of this game that I can't identify.
It was essentially an edutainment game published in the late '80s or early '90s, probably for the Mac. You go around school at night as this detective who needs to take photographs of different things for some reason. I believe you were wearing a detective's overcoat of some fashion. I think there were two levels to the school. Everything else is pretty hazy.
This guy is trying to paint the school invisible, disguised as a robot, so you take pictures of things for clues, trying to find him. Very frustrating game.
I preferred Operation Neptune, Treasure MathStorm!, and I.M. Meen as educational games.
Oh man that game was awesome, I used to play it ALL the time. Its probobly still upstairs somewhere.
Now I have to go find it. They made a bunch of games, they were all pretty awesome. I remember one where you had to build a racecar, or an airplane, or a boat. Shit, those games were awesome.
Nice! Not knowing the name to that game had bothered for longer than it ought to have.
While we're at it, does anyone know the name to this game where you're an alien or something and you had to gather recycled materials to rebuild your space ship in order to escape from earth? Before you answer Pikmin, it was also an educational title from way back in the day. I remember we had it at this computer camp I went to when I was probably 5 years old, and we could never end up getting the last piece of recycled goods we needed to win the game. We played through it at least twice.
And how about the name of the game where you're on this mountain and I think you need to do math problems to get to the top. Once you get there you get some sort of prize, fall back down the mountain, and do it all over again.
That second one is from the same company, I used to ahve to too, and the prizes you got at the top, you kept in this trophy room thing in your cave, there was a castle at the top too I remember. I think it was called Blizzard something or other.

Yeah, that is the game I'm thinking of. I remember it being really lame, but playing it nonetheless to get those stupid trophies for my cave.

You might also be thinking of Treasure Mountain, a similar game, except it in addition to math questions, it also has reading and science questions.
And man, I played all these games as a kid. Hi5 for nostalgia!
Edit: Oh shit, Mikal, Operation Neptune! That was awesome.
