I am trying to slang some Eevees, Charmanders and Pinsirs if anyone is interested. I would like a rufflet, or any cool things that are not easy to come by.

I could always use another Eevee.
I have Diglett, Squirtle, Chimchar, Elekid, Magby and Shellos spare.
Might be a stupid question but I can't find the answer.
GTS...is it all inclusive between the games, meaning a D/P/Pt/HG/SS game can respond to trades from BW provided they are not offering or asking for the Gen V pokemon, or are they Gen-locked. Like, can a Diamond game put up a trade that can be viewed and taken care of by someone with Pt/Johto games? And the B/W games' GTS only is applicable or accessible through a Gen V game?
sorry if this question is confusing, I'm not really sure how to phrase it.

I don't know about Gen 4 games talking with each other-- it seems likely that they do. I am pretty damn sure that Gen 4 games cannot GTS with Gen 5 though.
You can test this by finding something not on the GTS in 5, putting it up on a copy of four, and trying to get it in 5. It does not work.
Well I wasn't sure because I tried posting something in HG and viewing it with my SS and I couldn't see it, then double-checking my HG game the pokemon I offered was still on the GTS

So my little cousin has a DS Lite and Black version. Do we need to go to McDonald's and use their WiFi to get the Liberty Pass? Or can we poke around his parents' router for a WPA mode?
This question seems to get asked a lot.
You should check to see if your model of router can support 3rd party firmware like Tomato or DD-wrt, as these firmwares can support multiple virtual wireless interfaces with different SSID's and encryption types (WEP vs WPA). So you can make a separate virtual interface called "Pokeman" or something and just restrict it so you can't use it to do anything but online pokemon trading/battling and make it WEP.
There's a guide for dealing with DD-wrt (what I use) here.
So on the topic of pokemon, I prefer using pokemon that are unexpected and quirky in my team but I was reading up on Starmie and I can't seem to get an answer on where it is in the tiers.
Is Starmie good? Also, can it learn calm mind? I thought it could but I could be wrong.
I lack a dark type so this is currently a tad infuriating. Will the plot pull me back here at some point or is at an optional side area?
Plot related, but if this is your first time on Route 4 then you won't have to deal with it for a while. You can't go very far in it until later anyway.
With the weird Zorua thing, is this the first time that two systems and both versions, but no Internet, will stop you filling the local dex? Easy enough to get with GTS of course.
Also I just saw my first Gothita. That's just wrong. loljapan indeed.
1) don't allow people to request impossible things
2) Show ALL results and then let me filter them easily
3)Let me search for things I haven't seen
4) Let me search for corresponding trades for stuff I have. For example I select my lvl 12 bidoof and it brings up everyone who has put something up asking for that in return.
I don't know, I can see why they don't let you search for things you haven't seen yet. It completely ruins the trading and giveaway system they have, not to mention it does break the game a bit. There's no incentive to trade with friends, there's no point in giving away rare pokemon, and being able to ask for an Arceus at the start of the game just feels wrong.
Though to be fair, I'm not completely inflexible. You could say put it as an unlock behind some super hard endgame feature to ensure it's not completely abused. Or lock out specific pokemon like the super legendaries.

They could do what they did in Diamond/Pearl/Platinum, and even here in Black/White. "Show" you the Pokemon via a picture or encyclopedia. That way it shows up on your PokeDex, ready to be accessed via the GTS (and helps out your Dex entries).
Don't ask me why they completely skipped out on doing this for some of the Pokemon. All of the Pokemon, I can see where having limitations helps, but to include even the ones from the same generation... such an annoyance.

They have that for Zorua, but that's it.
I go both ways on the looking for stuff you haven't seen yet. I understand the arguments against, but my problem is how quickly the GTS can become (more) useless when you get all the stuff found in the game and on ingame trainers and then you still have 300+ pokemon you have to get off random GTS negotiation or trading with people you know or on forums.
Perhaps just making it so pokemon you battle online or in the subway thing adds them to your Pokedex is a better solution. I do enjoy the hunt for new stuff, it just bums me out that there's a limit to how far I can get with it.

Yeah, they shove in a ton of old Pokemon in the post game, but it's not enough.
I once had hopes of completing the Pokedex too, until I spent time on GTS Negotiations.
Now I'm just happy with having all the previous gen Pokemon available in game, which I'm about 9 off from doing. This being my first game since Red/Blue, I've had a pretty good time.

It feels like it's coming down to type coverage and just getting a bad hand with the order. I guess I need bigger move variety.
Because you really shouldn't have trouble with regular unless you have a terrible team selection. What have you been using?

Nope, there would be a lot of table flipping if this was the case.
EDIT: ie: it would single handidly break the meta-game in half.
Guess I'll keep my Boldore then, thanks.
