Speaking of Gothita, I put one up last night requesting a Tepig. I ended up with a Japanese lv 1 Adamant Tepig with Wild Charge and Body Slam. Most of my team is in the mid-30s but I'm curious to see its IVs so I can replace Darumaka.

Damn the Battle Tower in SS. It's so slow to get BPs! Working on getting some points for the Move Tutor, and it's probably going to take me 6-8 hours to get enough points for one damn move.
Anyone tried a Zen Mode Darmanitan? I have a lvl 60 one of each type of Darmanitan and I don't like the zen mode one so far. I use Substitute to get him to half hp (activate zen mode) and then get one cool attack off - then he just dies to whatever attack is next. Feels too much like a glass cannon that takes too long charge up imo

You need to use a Ragecandybar on one of the statues of Darmanitan outside Relic Castle. Just make sure it's a female so you can breed it.

Sorry, I should had worded it better. I already have a Zen Mode Darmanitan. I'm asking if anyone has used one as well and determined whether or not they are awesome. My experience so far is pretty meh but maybe someone else has thought of a better strategy for survival than I have.

All Timid? With Glare? Hmm.
Honestly, Snivy is probably the only Pokémon I would ever consider using with a neutral nature. It's fast, it has both physical and special attacks (and not really enough of one or the other to stay purely physical or special), and has good, balanced defenses.
If I was using Glare, I'd want Coil. If I had Coil, I wouldn't want to be Timid. What's the rationale behind this one? I am curious!

Zen Mode Darmanitan really shines in Rotation Battles, as rotation does not count as the turn, you can Sub down to activate the mode, move him out of the way, set up a Trick Room, and let Darmanitan destroy everything.
But in standard single, double or triples? Yeah really not a great idea. Very risky.

I dunno, yeah Twister is 40 base power, but there's always the fact it has a flinch chance in tandem with Serperior's blistering speed, and when you're Leaf Storming things left and right, +6 Special Attack is going to sting no matter what special move you use.
The Ability/Move combo of Contrary and Leaf Storm is so nearly broken I'm surprised anyone is really complaining about it. Does everyone want Serperior to not only boost it stats while attacking with a STAB Leaf Storm, but hit them effectively with high power moves & perfect neutral coverage on everything? It would unbalance the game immensely. Thank goodness we at least have Sap Sipper to mitigate the horrible damage this thing will wreck if/when released.

While I understand why they do it, I just find the whole banning thing weird and restrictive. On top of that, a lot of the bans are only necessary because of previous bans. Double Team is frustrating, but so is being fully paralysed, critical hits, flinches etc.
They're all part of the game, and there are options explicitly designed to mitigate these instances that get looked over because of the ban.
I did not go through all the bullshit and embarassment of making an account at Pokemon.com and playing that annoying Breakout game with my old shitty mouse...
to NOT get my Magic Mirror Espeon

Hope is the first step on the road to disappointment.
Every time I read this thread, I realize how much I still don't know about Pokémon. Probably should have kept playing after Red/Blue and not taken a break.

Hey Rockin, is it possible to RNG a perfect Adamant Ditto this gen? Kinda itching for one for my breeding projects.
Mind if I call dibs on this one?
EDIT: I won't be home until 6pm PST.

I might have to wait till wed, but if they're all gone by then I'm not gonna stress over it or anything

That is to say, not classy. Not classy at all.
It's about as classy as Wonder Guard Spiritomb, for that matter.

Glare was on the Japanese Snivy I traded for. Mystery Solved.
I can probably RNG a Japanese Ditto later. I already have one, but I'm not sure I'm allowed to share it.

Not the best special movepool? It's atrocious.
The only non grass special moves Serperior can learn are Hyper Beam, Twister, and Hidden Power.
I guess the case could be made that Leaf Storm and a good HP are all that's needed on a Contrary set though.

I play SC2; as far as I'm concerned if I'm winning 50% of my matches I'm doing great.
Better to execute a strategy well than try and react to every threat.
(A little annoyed that I don't get to have fun with Drizzle and Kingdra, who's been a personal favourite since G/S.)
And what's wrong with Baton Pass chains? I love those.
No weather banning here, so...
or on any official tournament.
Yeah, I don't have a problem with people 4gating every time. Does that mean it's a good analogy? :P
