Also, I love the designs on the Buttoneering site! I'm definitely going to have to hunt down Cadyn for a button though. *shakes fist at QB*

edit2: oh well, I shouldn't complain about not getting a bonus 10% off. Here's the design! Two things I love that don't get enough attention all in one design plus my normal handle in a font called (I kid you not), Chicken Butt.

This issue did not personally happen to me. I ordered my buttons pretty soon after the code was first posted, and the website took it fine. Based on posts I have read in this thread, the website is no longer accepting the code properly (for some people?) but people have been able to get the discounts by calling PureButtons directly. I am not sure if this was done before or after placing the order.

I was instructed to mention the code problem in the special instructions section of the checkout and that she'd credit me back the difference.
Pretty nice discount, to be honest. Purebuttons hardly ever sends out discount codes, but they've done it all the years I can remember seeing this buttoneer thread (since 2008 or so, when I started checking these forums).
Slick deal, all in all, and I think I might be joining your ranks this year.
Back in 2008 we actually found and used a discount code they already had in the system. Years following that, they have graciously given us a discount code.
I imagine the code is just as much for us to get a few dollars off as it is for them to see how much business they get from buttoneering.
Looks like I need to figure out the formatting for this new forum software...if only I could find something that told me how you are supposed to do it.
EDIT: Oh, it looks like the silly goosing forums software requires the images to end with an image extension.

The code totally worked for me yesterday online. I didn't cut'n'paste, maybe that helped?
Anyway, add me to the Pony Button Club. Once I get my artwork fixed, I apparently sent PB a corrupted file.
That's a very valid reason the code might have worked for you. I have a hunch a lot of folks are copy/pasting it with some whitespace characters that aren't being removed before validation.

In other news, I ordered my buttons today, though it took two days to pull it off and I had to email them the files and get an invoice sent to me rather than using the automated system. I have to say, I love the free shipping. I don't remember that being there last year.

I'm terrible at coming up with ideas for a button with my name on it, so I present to you all a bonus button that I came up with a couple years ago but never made. Until now! But which one do you think is better?
This second one will need a quick edit in photoshop to remove the transparency and such, so ignore all that.

I like the first one. The two color simplicity is very nice. Also looks made for a button! Fill the whole face and whatnot.
If you do make either of those I will be forced to hunt you down for that button, I want it.
I really like the gold/black one better as a button, not just because I'm a Pittsburgher. The second button would make a wonderful t-shirt, but the simplicity of the first one lends well to a small button.

I like the new one because Rainbow Dash's mane doesn't blend into the background like it does in the first one. But I am not a fan of the cutting off of Rainbow Dash's hooves.
This entire thread is like one massive print design trial-and-error tutorial.
When you guys get your buttons, you'll see what works and what doesn't, and you'll improve your designs for next year.
Unless you're ordering large buttons, normally simplicity is king, since small buttons don't give designs much room to breathe.
Some of the designs on buttoneering.org aren't going to win any design awards, but they'll do their jobs. Every PAX is a chance for improvement!
Btw, I like the top design better personally, Knight, but the bottom one will probably be easier to see on a button. The cloud border will be cut off, though, so don't expect to see it around the edge of the badge.

BTW if you're having problems with the code make sure you don't have a trailing space after the code, it causes it not to work
