I'm guessing something like ditched or flaked. Piked from slang for the Irish maybe?

Hey The Cat, what is your drink of choice?

white wine, not too fruity, not too dry, but if someone buys a jug of something then that's ok i guess

yes, piked = not showing up despite promises otherwise. I guess we're not cool enough anymore!

You know the alternative reading of that sentence hadn't occurred to me.

But I suppose it's possible he was there, was impaled on like, a fence, and now the Cat is disappointed that he is not available for sexy times on account of being "piked".

I just saw a guy walk by, wearing a long loosely-closed trench-coat and short Bermuda shorts. So short that they barely show under his trench-coat. For a moment I actually thought he was a flasher.

Not far, sadly. I was too tired and distracted to give it proper consideration. I'm still in Beregost, just trolling around the city talking to every goddamn commoner who has an opinion about iron or bandits on the off-chance one will hire me to kill some innocent people in an alleyway.

Oh, Arivia, what's your philosophy on dead characters? I left an evil Fighter/Thief for dead because he was Evil and I didn't really need him, but I'm wondering if that's really a good general rule to follow.

You're looking for a man in brown and yellow on the central-east side, the inns in west and south, and the smithy to the east. Also there are quests on the upper floor of the Friendly Arm Inn but you cant finish the spider one in Beregost yet.

I played the IE games when I was a kid, but I couldn't comprehend them and always quit within the first couple of hours.

My return to Baldur's Gate is pretty great so far. Sure, I basically get killed by random chance and the UI looks like something I left in the bathroom for my roommate, but...

I don't actually know why I'm enjoying it.
