Im gonna hunker down and try to finish Bad Company 2 singleplayer as well as the current chapter of the Witcher I'm running. Also starting to get really hooker into the ball now enemies have started appearing.
oh, i already have the game. i just want more PA regulars to get it so we can do multi with people who are reasonably competent/have mics that aren't crap/etc.
it's teamwork-based and that's why i think it's worth playing, but the price point is the barrier for pretty much everyone here i've talked to.
I still need to finish Dead Space 1. I'm on Chapter 3, bought it when it was on sale for $5 with Mirror's Edge.
I also heart VVVVVVVV. That game is silly hard. But so checkpoint friendly it doesn't bother me much.
:^:
I'm really stoked that you are enjoying it. And how about that soundtrack? It has nothing to do with the gameplay, but it really does just enhance everything about it for me.
I love how games like VVVVVV and Super Meat Boy have taken out the dreaded GAME OVER screen and gone in the direction of bite sized, intense platform action. In my opinion, it's made the genre more enjoyable by an exponential factor.
The musice is really cool. I was playing it with some itunes jamming, and the itunes got turned off after just a couple minutes.
I'm really digging VVVVV. I like that the game is a game. The story is a farce, and the terminals you access are messages to the player sometimes. My favorite is "No one will get this" and it's the most difficult 4 screen platform fall you have to make without die-ing. I tried a few times and was like, yep, I won't.
It's exactly stuff like this that makes me hesitant about getting this game. I mean, it's basically impossible for something to actually be as awesome as that sounds.
This is how I feel too. I also wonder, as with any smaller multiplayer-only shooter, if it will be able to sustain a large enough community to last more than a couple weeks. In regards to this, does anyone know if it has dedicated servers?

well you've got until the next sale to finish. i'm hoping that's sooner rather than later. :P

I go to purchase blood bowl, and of course steam decides now is the time to have a shit about my payment options. It now wont save my credit card info even after putting it in like 10 times, it also wont go through and keeps kicking me back to the storefront. I've been trying to buy it since yesterday.

You have to believe in yourself
Veni Vidi Vici is one of the tougher sequences in the game but a hundred fifty, two hundred tries and you'll have it down pat

mother fucking auto correct fucking my posts up all day long. God damn android phones. They're great when they work but when they go funny, its a pain.
What I was talking about was The Ball, a game in which you manipulate a giant sphere using a gravity gun like clone. I'm now hooked to the game, with enemies only just starting to appear.

Ugh, I have always wanted Blood Bowl, and the weekend deal is tempting, but I just keep hearing that it's sooooooo disappointing.
It could be disapointing at $40 but great at $10. I know I waited on fable till it was a greatest hits and loved it dispite everyone at release saying it was shit. But anyway:
I was wondering how it played exactly. Like I get the turn based football thing and I kind of dig it but keep hearing about getting xp and wondering how that worked. Like does it work in exhibition matches or is it only going to fun when there is a PA league going on?

I am having essentially the same dilemma.
We can hold together, just say it with me:
Wait for $5. Wait for $5.
This is extremely good advice, particularly since my response to looking at my backlog of games I haven't played yet was to sit down and start playing chronotrigger and diablo2 again.
However, when was the last time you saw sale-related extremely good advice actually have an effect? It's on sale.

Boy oh boy I could've used that music when I started playing VVVVVV. I jumped out of the spaceship and started randomly exploring. The first placed I ended up going into? The Tower.
How am I supposed to get deus ex goty to run in steam? The gameplay is in fastfoward mode.

After the game starts, find the process, right-click on it, and set the affinity to 0. That'll force it to run on one core and should slow it down to normal speed.

I think Big Isy is saying he's a pokémon pimp?

Be wary if he want's to show you his pokemon's.. :winky:
So, dungeon siege 3 preorder on steam, total love. Im not sure if I should pick it up. Only because Im not sure if they cough up the other two games first thing. If so, sounds like a good plan.. Hmm.
There are not nearly enough Warhammer 40K Mods available on the internet. I will get to Fallout 3's mods when I beat Witcher and Magicka, but still....magicka....Warhammer 40K.....magicka....40K....
What was I saying...oh yeah, waiting for $5 also gives you more time to clear out your backlog but an addendum to that rule might be, beat a game.

I LOVED the first 2. I remember reading the release has been pushed out a bit too for #3. I think I am going to hold off and burn down some backlog, and maybe see if they have a 5-10% sale or something before release to get the pre-order.

Well if you're looking for more GrimDark, there's a new preview thing they just released for Space Marine:
Also, and on a completely unrelated note, you guys might want to check the Portal thread. The new comic that's bridging the gap between the two games has just started coming out.
Trying to give away free copies of Portal is almost comedically difficult. I started a giveaway last Saturday in a group of 167 members and no one has expressed interest yet.

I've been looking forward to Dino D-Day and Natural Selection 2 for like OVER 9 THOUSAND years.
Gonna pick this up later today.
I still need to finish Dead Space 1. I'm on Chapter 3, bought it when it was on sale for $5 with Mirror's Edge.
Yay or nay?

Would you be interested in a copy of Dino D-Day in return?
I'm thinking of picking up a copy for myself as well.
The Ball, the game.
I think he meant hooked.
Sure ! I've been eyeing that game...and everyone here seems to like it.

I see it for $9.95. Is there a trick to get it for $4.95 or was that a typo?
I can find vanilla GTA4 for $4.95

I'm so confused at how to play... I thought I could attack ad nauseum on my turn, but it turns out you can't and that leads me to be frustrated.
How the eff are you supposed to win this game?! So far Orcs suck major.
That sounds like a great policy to have. Perhaps the "Summer is deadly and will kill you" sale will produce this price.

Won't somebody please think of the Newell?
-[strike]Audiosurf[/strike] taken!
-[strike]Defense Grid[/strike] taken!
-[strike]Killing Floor[/strike] taken!
-[strike]Toki Tori[/strike] taken!
That's all folks! enjoy your games
Still has SecuROM though, so it's still a Pass for me.

But Dungeon Siege 1 and 2 aren't on Steam...?
