Jartar is a terrestrial world with a trace atmosphere of krypton and xenon. The surface is hot, and mainly composed of unremarkable silicates. Occasional deposits of aluminum, magnesium, and other light metals can be found.
Jartar is noted for the discovery of the "Leviathan of Dis," the apparent corpse of a genetically engineered living starship. The Leviathan was found in the bottom of a crater by a batarian survey team, and estimated to be nearly a billion years old. It "disappeared" after a visit to the system by a batarian dreadnought twenty years ago.
Since then, the batarians have steadfastly denied that the Leviathan existed at all – and all the more vociferously when shown recordings of the corpse made by salarian researchers.
I don't think there's anything more useless than medigel in ME2. If your squadmates die, it's because they're too stupid to take cover in this particular encounter. Revive them, and they'll still refuse to take cover.
I somehow missed the Medigel upgrade in mordin's recruitment
THIS PLAYTHROUGH IS TAINTED.
I did everything, got everything, in my last playthrough. It was suppose to be my final one for importing. But apparently I've fucked up my interactions with Jack and she thinks we're an item, even though I never wanted that. I can't get out of that conversation, either, without pissing her off or embracing her.
TAINTED.
I could just ignore her and not go down to talk to her. But THIS PLAYTHROUGH IS TAINTED IT'S NOT PERFECT I HAVE TO FIX IT.

I always thought the genetically engineered living starship "Leviathan" in ME2 was just a reference/nod to the genetically engineered living starship leviathans in the show Farscape

It is, but it's also too important to just ignore. They've used planet descriptions in the plot before. The Leviathan is documented and not just a rumor or vision. We know the Batarians will be important in ME3, and they have it.

The main advantage we have against the reapers is that they want to take us alive. They could easily raze Earth to dirt from orbit, but they need to harvest us. Since we still control the Citadel, that means we control the relay network and could potentially isolate them at Sol for a while. That might buy us just enough time to uplift the Yahg, steal the Leviathan, murder the batarians, and ride the Geth Dyson Sphere into battle.
Paragons get some stupid rachni and shit.

Every playthrough I have done I have agonized about the Heretic choice, and I am very interested to see how it plays out. The way I see it:
If you blow it up:
Goodwill from the Quarians, regardless of the resolution you choose during the coming Geth-Quarian conflict
More reason for the galaxy to trust the Geth, a clean break from their conflict with the alliance. This would have had more impact if anyone had known it existed though.
If you indoctrinate them:
Risk of the indoctrinated Heretics "contaminating" the Geth collective.
Another chance at life for billions of synthetic life forms.
I always blow it up, but I am wondering if that is because I think it is truly the right choice of it I am just really paranoid.

I can't believe I'm seriously considering trying to find a cheap copy of ME1 PC just so I can have the Shepard I want in ME2 now that I have it on PC.
My 360 versions of both are right there, with all the pre-Arrival DLC, and my 360 Shepard's life is pretty much exactly what I want to import into ME3. But nooooooooo.
I do not have the time to start over at the very beginning just to re-craft a prime Shepard from scratch just so I'll have a PC ME3 character I want, and until I got a second free ME2 from DA2, I did not have this problem. Thanks a lot, Bioware.

geth intelligence is gestalt, not unique like a quantum AI. if you're made of 1000 copies of the same VI, then erasing 500 of them isn't an issue. just copy 500 more and you're back to capacity.
my uber paragon doesn't blow em up because he believes in forgiveness and is a giant pussy for letting batarians live :P

You dishonor the Shepard name. Not even a paragon would do that.
And as for the heretics, I had Curly's attitude as well, I mean, they are just robots, it's not like you're losing anything unique.

i feel your pain.
I'm digging through all the options on Gibbed's save game editor. After seeing the list of ME1 options, I'm starting to think that it might be quicker to just play ME1 again.

Spiler regarding this and the end,
It's a few billion more programs to be part of the gestalt. Ignoring any sort of moral arguments with regards to AI because they are old and tired at this point, more programs = smarter geth, which means they might come up with something they otherwise wouldn't have to fight off the reapers. Or maybe invent some all new and wondrous way to kill batarians. Hell, assuming that Bioware does a (in my opinion) dumb and actually lets you get good tech from the final renegade choice in ME2, saving the geth is a good way to even things up (ignoring the possibility that someone out there both saved the heretics and blew up the base).

Well, there is a very renegade reason to let them live, more bodies to throw at the reapers.
Also, while all geth in one network share their memories the Heretics were quite different from the true geth and their culture was wiped out with that explosion. It would essentially have been wiped out by the indoctrination too, but still.
The news about the cerberus betrayal could be anything. It could be a rogue cell, or a cover story for Shepard, actual retribution for something you did in the first game (like wipe out tons of Cerberus).
The most compelling possibility to me, though is
TIM bargaining Shepard to the Reapers for the survival of humanity as a servitor race. It's not like it's hard to imagine that he was basically trying to get Shepard killed at every turn in ME2. It especially makes sense if they approached TIM at some point after Horizon.
The "riding at the vanguard of a multicultural armada" option isn't the only way to be the savior of mankind, is what I'm saying.

yeah, but since all the programs are identical, copy/paste from non-heretic files is a much better solution

there is at least 2 more alt appearance packs for them to release, plus the rest of the exclusive promo stuff.
I'd like to see Alternate Appearance packs for at least the remaining regular squaddies and hopefully (though I don't expect this) Zaeed and Kasumi too, and the Blackstorm finally being purchasable. I think the Blackstorm and the Terminus armor are the only promo stuff besides the Dr Pepper things they have yet to release normally.
The first time through, I blew the Heretics up. I figured it was more humane than mindraping them to follow the Geth. Now, though, I'm not sure what to do. It's clear their sense of self isn't equatable at all to organics. There is 'individuality' in a roundabout way based on each platform's perspective of events, whose view is taken into consideration when forming Consensus, but if you're 'outvoted' you just get rewritten to accept the new truth anyway.
It's, like, an expected part of their culture or something. So is it really wrong to reprogram them when they were reprogrammed by Sovereign in the first place? Or am I wrong, and the Heretics arrived at their worship of the Reapers by 'choice'? If the latter (it's been a while since I played), it (reprogramming them) is still probably reprehensible.

I think it's pretty likely that Kasumi and Zaeed get different costumes seeing as there is 6 characters that have yet to get one, them included, which would fit in with the 2 packs left of 3 each.

The only reason I could see TIM himself wanting Shepard dead is if he is somehow more valuable against the Reapers dead than alive.
I mean...Shepard is already space Jesus and has been in contact with more Reaper/Reaper artifacts than God knows...so whatever.
Or Indoctrination...but man, that'd be kind of anti-climatic.
What if TIM made a deal with the Batarians for the Leviathan...
WILD SPECULATION HOOOOO!
I would LOL so hard if this were true.
okay, this is bugging me now. Clearly i missed a DLC or a comic or novel but what exactly is this Leviathan that people have been talking about?
