I wonder how they're going to handle weapons this time around

Like are the Revanant/Claymore only going to be for advanced training again or will they be attainable though normal means.

Also will there be multiple "special" weapons? If so hopefully they have their base stats printed. (base damage, Rate of Fire, Mag size, etc)

there is at least 2 more alt appearance packs for them to release, plus the rest of the exclusive promo stuff.

I'd like to see Alternate Appearance packs for at least the remaining regular squaddies and hopefully (though I don't expect this) Zaeed and Kasumi too, and the Blackstorm finally being purchasable. I think the Blackstorm and the Terminus armor are the only promo stuff besides the Dr Pepper things they have yet to release normally.

I think it's pretty likely that Kasumi and Zaeed get different costumes seeing as there is 6 characters that have yet to get one, them included, which would fit in with the 2 packs left of 3 each.

I guess they'd just have to slap a big warning on it for Zaeed and Kasumi saying "IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THESE CHARACTERS, WHY THE HELL NOT, ALSO THEY ARE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE, ONLY TWENTY-TWO BUCKS THE PAIR IF YOU DON'T HAVE CERBERUS NETWORK YOU FILTHY USED-GAME BUYER".

I thought the issue was less of programs but platforms - the heretics had a lot of the limited amount. Rewriting them has TIM's report note it makes the geth much more powerful, for good or for ill.

Cerberus making a deal with the devil would be an interesting idea in ME3, provided they're under subtle indoctrination or something to excuse how stupid it is to trust in the giant squidship's word is bond.

Maybe we will find out that TIM isn't even a real person at all, but rather a construct created by the Reapers to fuck with Shepard.

And in fact, Cerberus is an organization created by the Reapers with the intention of studying humans who are their greatest obstacle. All that time Shepard's corpse was on the reconstruction table? They were harvesting data.

take it as you will, but regarding the whole Cerberus being against you could be that the Illusive man is essentially half-husk which the comic miniseries about him has been hinting towards but hasn't outright stated it. The whole visions of the future and suddenly knowing different languages seems to support this. just gonna throw this link up here in case anybody want to know more. http://masseffect.wikia.com/wiki/Mass_Effect:_Evolution

    Awesome.
Weapon Modding is a greenlight, with things like barrels and scopes
Modding your weapons will vastly affect their appearance and how they function in battle

Enemy Weapons can be picked up. Soldiers can carry all kinds of weapons, and other classes understandably less so.

Full scans have some more info too. Most interesting to me is three tiers of squadmembers, just how I wanted: some are core to the story and must be recruited like Miranda, some are optional and "just" squadmates like Samara, and some are temporary squadmates available for a single mission like Liara.

Several of those things are very specifically worded in ways that render some of our speculation here moot.

Are those simply overreaches by the transcriber, or were they in the original article?

I like the Cerberus coup idea - it seems the most plausible in light of events in ME2 and Retribution.

Also, it'd be a pretty awesome angle to have TIM locked away somewhere on the Normandy. Ideally with the option to space him at any time.

I've been oblivious to the information coming about ME3, but I gotta admit I'm kinda disappointed that the crew members from ME2 haven't been confirmed for major roles in ME3. I understand that by making it possible for them to die that this might be content that isn't seen by some players, but the players that did keep the crew alive should be rewarded appropriately, I think.

I'll reserve final judgement for when the game comes, but I'm hoping they don't leave the "savior" type players of ME2 high and dry.

Maybe if it was actually a challenging thing to do, they could reward it. As it is, you just have to be able to think hard enough to breathe on your own and you'll probably get through without more than one or two casualties.

Shooting specific armor parts can have certain effects, and the AI of the enemies will have them routing Shepard and will coordinate with each other
Battlefields are going to be a great deal larger, and combat will be very varied.

Mass Effect 1′s decisions, such as sparing the Rachni, will have a grave impact in ME3
There’s no railroad to the end of the game, there are multiple paths to take back Earth.

In addition to the weapon mods, awesome, awesome, awesome.

There are some decisions you could have made in Mass Effect 1 - and the comic in the PS3 version - that, in Mass Effect 3, make a really big difference. Different things happen, and you have access to different things, and they will affect the endings you have access to. That's part of what we wanted to do from the start; from the first game, making choices that can affect everything, all the way up to the final resolution.

    YES.

Although that combined with Cerberus gunning for Shep makes the choice with the collector base even tougher.

I, for one, am also super excited to see them unpairing the weapons from the player class. I can finally play my assault-rifle vanguard the way god intended.

As a concept it totally makes sense, but the gameplay would be kinda hard to do right - especially since Spaceship combat would be impossible to include while staying true to the fluff (nobody wants to spend ten hours maneuvering dreadnoughts around at a million kilometers).

    What if-

what if it was a Planetside-style game between Alliance and Batarian forces fighting over planets in the Traverse?

Also: Ashley's tits look a lot less excessive in the high-quality scans. Now it just looks like she invested in a push-up bra. I no longer have to worry about her magnificent Nazi bosoms intruding on my suspension of disbelief.
