Am I forgetting someone or are Helena Pierce and Athena the only major characters alive not shown to be returning?
I'm also wondering if we'll go to Sanctuary in BL2.
You know which character I want for them to show? The little kid that Marcus is always telling the stories too. He should be old enough to shoot something by now!

Funny thing, when I was watching a few episodes of the newest Fullmetal Alchemist anime series, I though to myself that she played Hawkeye a lot more like Lilith in tone. . . which wasn't a bad thing in my opinion. As long as we get to hear more deliciously hilarious Tannis babble from her, I'll be happy.

i wonder if they did a better job with $$$ this time around, it was one of the game mechanics that didnt work very well last time around.
and im not much of a music person, but this is one of the few games where i think they do an exceptional job with it (in the gta VC, and fo3 area of perfect music choices)
So looks like Zero will be the Sniper. Or at least one of the chars that can be specced that way.
After the trailer I was hoping he was the "new" Mordecai. Looks like I now have no doubts on what my first character will be!
I think the best part of the trailer that's easily overlooked for all the other shenanigans happening is the crazy new guns. Even just the few shown are like a bazillion times more unique and inspired than BL1. Pretty sure I saw some energy weapons in there that weren't Eridian. The manufacturers are adopting alien tech into their designs now maybe?
I wonder if Zero will also have the Gunslinger-style skills... That's the role I enjoyed most with Mordecai. Kind of hope Salvador will be the one who gets that role though, so I have an excuse to dual-wield revolvers...
didnt they say that there is less of an emphasis specific weapons based on character this time around, so any of you characters can be a gunslinger/sniper?
If the gunzerker skills works in such a way that you can pretty much just keep it up and dual wield at all times I can't imagine playing anything else. Especially if they add in some kind if heavy Gatling gun. Which they should.

I love my gunslinger build, and if I can translate that to a dual wielding monster of Salvador, I will be very happy. And give me the option to dual wield rocket launchers and miniguns? Yes please!

I remember in a very old teaser article for Borderlands when they still had a serious style the alien tech was more integrated in the process and you could have various alien parts on your normal gun, as opposed to separate alien guns like we have now. Could be cool to have.
