Hating on the batarians is too easy because they're not people, really they barely qualify as living things

We should talk about how the quarians thought it was a good idea to delay assistance to the Alarei so they could make a political maneuver during Tali's trial

or how every mission you see them on including Freedom's Progress, Haestrom, Gei Hinnom, Tali's loyalty, and every one on pilgrimage ends in failure and heavy casualties

or how they failed at genocide and still refuse to take responsibility 300 years later, and have a political structure so weak that Shepard can bitch them out in their own courtroom

    Geth forever

It's not really a binary choice, I'd say between the two. In fact, choosing over the other is worse than letting them both die. Any race that has the technical prowess to create the Geth and live in starships that are the largest fleet in the galaxy aren't exactly useless, shit, at a minimum they'd make great cannon fodder. I mean, they'll at least gum up the works and at the very least, they can fail AT the Reapers, instead AT the Geth.

The Geth also have shown a strain of treachery, I don't care if it's just schismatic sect, they are a collective intelligence, and they may decide making their own future is only possible if they sell out the squishies. It wouldn't even have to be a choice, Hell, if an autistic guy with a hose in face can take over an entire Geth neural net by making a few clicks and boops then I'm pretty sure the Machine Gods can figure away to crack the Firewall.

It's clear the mind of the Geth has some value in finding the mind of the Reapers. The both seem to be collective intelligences made up of constituent programs, so having the engineers and the engines would seem like an asset. The Geth certainly don't seem to hold that much of a grudge. They just don't wanna die.

Geth and Quarians just need to kiss and make up, it's really the best option logistically.

Plus anything that could just be copied onto another server really can't be genocided. To judge them by organic, individualistic standards would be racist.

The funny thing about the Batarians, they are transparently designed to be utterly unlikable, even how they look is just butt-ugly and just anthropomorphic enough to be truly off-putting. Seriously, their official government is called a Hegemony. The driving engines of their entire culture are racism and class oppression.

So obviously they are going to be key allies in the last game. Swallowing that bitter pill will put even the Paragoniest of Shepards in a bind.

The quarians have proven themselves to be militarily worthless, while geth are pretty strong and have essentially unlimited resources to build an army with. I urged the quarians to war so they would finally die and the geth can help me out without being attacked. Their only problem is being too nice and not taking initiative.

The quarians literally let their own people be slaughtered so Tali could have a less fair trial.

Again, I'd rather them fail AT the Reapers, than the Geth. If the Geth wipe them out no worse for wear, then all you gain is nothing and lose a shitload ships that could have at least crashed into a few Reapers. The Quarians know enough about the Geth to seriously fuck them up at least, I doubt that they'd really just tear through them, without at least one serious virus. Hell, an entire Geth BELIEF SYSTEM can be changed with a simple overwrite to ONE variable. The Geth have security issues that are as inept and worrisome as Batarians are dickish.

I don't even trust them to fail at the reapers. Tali is a "good leader" but gets her team killed twice and commands no respect in the beginning, and the Admirals seem to be even worse. They are dogmatically hateful of the geth even 300 years after the war and can barely hold their own fleet together. The quarians would probably interfere with the geth and weaken the overall force.

Except for the admiral that isn't. And the one that is a supremacist, which isn't the same thing. Also except that the fleet is falling apart because the entire structure of a migrant fleet is untenable. Except for the fact their grievance is legitimate, it not an easily forgiven thing, and to expect it is plain not realistic.

It's just not likely that having More is worse than less. They are still THE LARGEST FLEET IN THE GALAXY. The enormity of that on a practical, logistical standard cannot be ignored, in a contest involving Sentient Starships.

I guarantee that if Shepard says jump, they'll say how high. If Shepard can't keep the kids from fighting, then it's Shepard's failure as a leader, not the two legitimately aggrieved parties. The challenge is eating that cake you have, after all.

What was that cartoon with the shape shifter, on the run with a cyborg and dinosaur, hiding from an evil corporation that wants to use him to control the world? They run to a space station and a sentient cold virus gets sent after him, the shape shifter talks to the cold in the body of a puppy and helps him deal with his loneliness and then the cold uses the station's replicator to build itself an armada of tiny space ships for all its cold cells and fight off the company.

Project geeker I think it was called.

    edit:
    Wikipedia tells me,
The virus was named Larry, the doctor who made the hero was a mastadon, Cree Summer did a voice, and the show was made by Ted TenNaple and Shawn Patternson. It was canceled due to government mandates.....screw it, I'm voting Palin in 2016.
