Did a quick search for a thread, but turned up nothing.
This game is awesome. For those of you not in the know, it's a fighter which kind of follows the template set by Super Smash Brothers, but instead of Nintendo characters it's populated by characters from Shonen Jump, a weekly manga in Japan which collects various, well, manga. Due to licensing issues, it was never released outside of Japan, but importing is easy due to the DS' region free-ness. However, the game is 99% Japanese, so you will need the help of (easily available) online translation guides to get to know the game. Once you're familiar with the basics, it's pretty easy though.
The fighting itself is, as said, very similar to Super Smash Bros (Melee). There's a jump button, a light attack, heavy attack and special attack, and all can be combined with a direction of the D-pad to vary your moves. The main bulk of the game will probably be spent in Adventure mode, in which you travel to the various worlds of the mangas, similar to Kingdom Hearts, and you get specific goals to complete in each level, like get X amount of KO's, KO X of your opponents with a Special Attack, collect the most coins, knock your opponents off the map etc. The Levels themselves are like the pages of a manga, complete with the books spine. If you break the 'paper' edge, you can knock characters off the map á la SSBM, but you can also just deplete their health bars.
Komas
Unlocking characters is done by completing certain goals in the Adventure/Galaxy mode. However, selecting what characters to use is different from most beat 'em ups. Each character takes up a certain amount of squares, or Komas, which is like the panel of a manga. You then build a 'deck' by combining Fighting komas (4-7 squares) with at least 1 help koma (2 or 3 squares) and 1 assist koma (1 square). Fighting Komas are basically your characters, help komas pop up to do a special attack and vanish again, and assist komas grant you a passive ability like health regen or triple jumping. You unlock each characters assist koma, and from there you can spend the points you earn in Adventure to upgrade them to fighting komas.
The characters are taken from some 40 mangas, including Naruto, Dragon Ball Z, One Piece, Bleach, Yu Gi Oh, YuYu Hakusho and many more.
Finally, as a delicious cherry on top, the game features full wifi support if you fancy your chances against Japanese opponents, or you can just use Friend Codes to play with your friends. Random games against Japanese tend to be fraught with lag. The game is also playable ad-hoc (or whatever it's called) with 1 cart, albeit limitedly obviously.
Btw this is my first thread, how'd I do?

I got Jump back when it first came out, it was awesome. Unlocked lots of guys, played online, made decks, showed it off to friends..
And then I let someone borrow it. Took it on a Friday, came in Monday saying he lost it.
No more Jump for me.
But I am having him order me Bleach 2nd as a replacement, so I suppose all is not lost. Still a bummer though.
I KISS YOU!
