No ones posted for 2 hours and thats freaking me out. So I'm gonna do it. Decided to tune in to NASL today, they added music to the games and it makes it infinitly better.
MC is so weird. Wins one tournament, loses his games in another pretty one-sided-ly. He's confusing. Good player, but sometimes I think he gets overconfident, or he doesn't care, and takes such a big risk, or doesn't play his best (missing the nydus)

MC still played well, he looks in form. But no one wins every game, especially since ret went with builds that were cheesy/allin.

MC will fail to spite everyone who spent 500 points on him
does good but not astonishingly well in online tournaments
i think theres more than a coincidence there
not to disparage the players who beat him
i also have a big gay boner for how well he crushes some people so there is that form of bias
it may not even necessarily be lag, it could be some other factor, like he doesn't take the game as seriously when its not in front of a big live audience.

maybe he just loses sometimes

I think it's likely a combination of Thorzain's status in the community (relative unknown), and Thorzain's unorthodox build variety being difficult to practice for. Lag was apparently even (they were both playing on Europe), so it shouldn't have been a factor. And he may also have been too cocky to practice heavily for the tourney, who knows.
Edit: Oh, and also MC has been involved in a lot of other events, and he's been in Europe, so he may be having a harder time getting practice in.
wow it's really hard for people to say someone outplayed MC
Well, combined with how awesome Thorzain looked at everything except Ghost play. I'm definitely a big Thorzain fan after watching his play in TSL3, and I'm going to steal the crap out of his builds, but MC has looked really mortal lately.

I agree that he has looked the way, but that doesn't require outside factors.
he also did just win a tournament today by 4-0 ing Kas who is considered one of the best T in europe (he won his tsl game today and will face thorzain in ro4)

Thorzain's upgrades are so rad. That upgrade heavy style is how I like to play. Upgrades don't seem super amazing on paper but they make such a big difference in enhancing the cost effectiveness of your units.

I have seen so many terran builds that I can't wait to steal
been noting them down, though re-watching in that way won't be super fun I think it will pay off really well.
dem euro terran are nuts, and boxer has been siiiick the last 2 weeks or so.

another advantage is it makes an army more powerful proportional to its size, so if an opponent hasn't checked your upgrades (unlikely at high levels but entirely possible on ladder) he might overestimate his chances in a battle and engage when he shouldn't.

Wow. I just played a game with a super smart zerg player. Here's the description of the game.
"As terran, I'm playing a 2v2 game with a zerg ally. We get rushed early by zealots, and things look bad, but my zerg ally makes an awesome moves with his workers to save my army and thwart the attack. It's at about the 7:30 mark by I suggest watching from the six minute mark."
Here's the game. It was an awesome move on his part. Props to him.
Toss/toss is the fucking shittiest 2v2 composition (unless you're doing some weird specific planned cheese) and one of the reasons I don't do any 2v2s.

And it shoots lasers and as the lasers move across the ground they make forcefields behind them.
CatsPajamas IPL caster guy actually makes use of the caster overlays in a sensible way. Hurrah.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO
so.. idra is the only zerg hope now?

you are cool. jinro is the best terran that streams, easily.
though drewbie is quite awesome

MC was in EU when the match was played. I've read that Protoss couldn't really go for upgrades and tech and get many units at the same time
Streaming 8PST on weeknights
Bullshit, Hasuobs did it against Goody.
By did it, I mean got tons of upgrades.

its no better than a normal k4wg and only having the resources to make 2 pylons makes it a hell of a lot riskier
FIVE PvPs in a row today.
All five 4gate vs 4gate, all I managed to make some stupid micro mistake and lose due to one tiny insurmountable advantage that then resulted.
